Paying for a character meal!

I took my son to see the Easter Bunny on Saturday and asked if I could use my camera. She said, "sure as long as you buy one of ours." I said OK and snapped away. THEN I saw the prices.

I had to pay $23.00 for a 5x7 photo with a 5 foot rabbit. I nearly died. Suddenly, 18.99 for Chef Mickey's seems like a REAL bargain!

same at our mall....$25 for a picture with the Easter Bunny. Needless to say, we didn't do it.

That is expensive!! We got a 5x7 at our mall for only $9.99, and I often feel like it is a rip-off as the quality of pictures isn't very good.:goodvibes

It's so crazy! Ours is $15.99 for a 5x7 and the quality isn't the best. A few years ago I had a woman actually yell at me because I took pictures of my daughter with Santa and didn't buy one. BUT I had already been through the line and purchased one earlier. I wasn't going to pay another $15 because my dd wanted to see him one more time. She was still nasty even when I told her we had just seen him, they had switched employees. Talk about spoiling the magic.

Wow, that's insane.

My local Walgreens has Santa meet and greets at Christmas time, and does the bunny thing for Easter too. We didn't do the Bunny thing but I did take him there to meet Santa in December. I even got a free picture AND they let me take my own, no problem. Can't beat that deal.

We did breakfast with the Easter Bunny and they let us take our own pics. Thank goodness!

I agree about the mall photos. We paid $25.00 for the Santa photo, couldn't afford an Easter Bunny pic too. :rolleyes1

$23.00 dollars here for a 5x7 and you were not allowed to take your own pics :(

Did an Elks Lodge Breakfast w/the Easter Bunny...purchased tickets and took pics for free w/our own camera.

At Christmas, I take dd to the local volunteer fire dept. where they have Santa and I take a pic again for FREE!!! They also have wonderful cookies baked by the ladies (wives of the firemen) which my daughter loves (coffee too!!!). We also go to their Pancake Breakfast to show our support with the neighbors...lots of fun!!!:dance3:

Our local wal-mart had free pictures with the Easter Bunny. Granted it wasn't the best bunny or background but my son is only 14months so he didn't care! I got a free 5x7 and made a sheet of 3 1/2x5 for family members for $6.00. Much better than the more than $25 we paid at the mall last year for a creepy looking bunny!

Yikes! We didn't take DS to see the Easter Bunny this year. We lucked out and had the Easter Bunny at an Easter Party for work and the picture was free. It's not super professional. It was outside and DS was just standing next to the Easter Bunny but I can't complain because it was FREE! We didn't even take DS to see Santa Claus at the mall this year. We had Santa at several Christmas parties so I just snapped photos there. Plan on doing the same thing if we're still here at Christmas. DH might be relocated for work.

You're right about the character meal thing. At least with that you not only get to take all the photos you want with the characters, you also get a meal. Way better than just a 5x7 photo for $25!!!

Holy moly!!! Our mall bunny was expensive so instead we went to a local breakfast with the Easter Bunny. GREAT interaction and the pictures were free (they gave us a polaroid of the children and bunny too). What a racket - 23 for a picture!!!
