I wouldn't know, as I've been 28 for the past 7 years. :cool1:

13 weeks and 2 years?

I probably did zip. I had 2 children, and my youngest was 1...
40 I went out dancing with the girls:)

I was pregnant with DS #2, so I went to lunch with my mom and Ds #1. Then DH and DS #1 took me to Denny's. Happy Birthday to me! :cheer2:

I can't even remember! :rotfl: I think we went to Gatlinburg that year. If it wasn't that year, then it was either dinner at Chuck E. Cheese or dinner at Applebee's followed by the circus. My birthday is next month. Perhaps I should start writing these types of things down. Clearly my memory is fading in my old age of 35! :lmao:

I can't stand there food but might do Olive Garden

I was just wondering if any of my friends on the dis did Disney DCL or last DLR just trying to making the memories of turning 30 last

Ps always wanted to do food and whine with dh but it is no where near my b-day

Well, I turned 21 in Paris! :cool1:

My mum and I were going to do NYC on my 30th, just the two of us. We had planned and day dreamed the trip since I was a teenager. But she died when I was 29. Instead, I spent the day feeling pretty blue. :sad1: But I did leave five days later to volunteer for a month in South Africa, so that was pretty awesome!

I plan on turning 40 somewhere amazing.

I bought myself a piano.

For my 40th, DH and I did a weekend in Vegas. To celebrate my 50th we spent a weekend in New York City.

I have to say, as much as I loved those trips, getting that piano felt very "30" to me - kind of like it was time to really settle in to being a grown up.

I hated turning 30 so I cried most of the day. One of my friends took me out or drinks that night. And my sister threw me a surprise party a couple of days later.

Each year I hit a milestone birthday, something else happens in my life to overshadow it.

The year I turned 30 I got married.
The year I turned 40 we adopted my son from Korea.
The year I tured 50, I had a mastectomy... I choose to refer to it as a "b**b job" :)

I've never feared or lamented birthdays. I see them as a brief moment of celebration, followed by a return to living my life.

It's funny. I was at an orientation program the other day for kids who will be attending the high school where I teach. Someone at the microphone said that high school had been the best years of his life-- how very sad!!! To think that it was all downhill after 18!!! I always kind of figure that the best is yet to come.

OK, back to your point... why not start to save for and plan a fabulous trip? Get a sister or best friend to agree now to go with you. London, Australia, Alaska, NYC, Bermuda, the Grand Canyon, Iceland.... there are so many fabulous choices out there!!!

I don't remember my 30th, but we share the same birthday... I've just been celebrating it longer. :rotfl2:

I was 30 last year and for my birthday my parents got me a 9 night holiday at Disney!!! It was my mum, my DD (2 at the time) and myself, we stayed at Saratoga Springs, had 7 day park tickets and the DDP. It was amazing! My DH sent a lovely gift from the Disney Florist to my room on my Birthday as he couldn't be there due to work and Disney put balloons up in my room that day too along with a card from the Mouse. :goodvibes

probably chased my kids around LOL LOL. I think 40 is a bigger deal then 30, so on my 40th will be the big party for me

I went to Maui with my boyfriend (now husband). On the night of my birthday we had dinner at the Plantation restaurant at Kapalua.

I can't remember doing anything special for my 30th, but it wasn't a "big deal" to reach 30. Just another birthday.

For my 40th we spent the weekend on Mackinaw Island.

For my 50th we went for a hot air balloon ride.

Not sure what we'll do for my 60th. :)

I threw a big family and friends BBQ party for my husband's 30th. I love throwing parties and we had just bought our new home...it was a lot of fun.

Had tons of food, beer in our kegerator, a big cake...everyone had a good time.

I don't think I did anything big for my 30th. At least I must not have because I don't remember it! I am sure DH and I went out for dinner. We hadn't even been married quite a year when I turned 30 and no kids yet.
