He switched my drug from Celexa to Lexapro. Lexapro is an improved version of Celexa. He told me I have to give the medicine at least 2 months to get the full effect. So, about 2 months ago when I had the celexa doubled, and I was wondering why it wasn't working, that's why. It hadn't had time yet.
So, I have to be patient, with the medicine, and with myself. I told him that I was going to see my counselor again, and he told me to make sure I did.
He told me all the other problems stemmed from from the original problem and I have to deal with those symtoms as they come up. He figures as soon as this gets a hold of my system, most of those problems will automatically go away.

Some good news. My blood pressure has been down for a year, so he took me off those pills. It was 112/74.

So, along with the medical part, and the mental part, I am doing what people have suggested and things are going well. ;) at least for today.

Tomorrow I sign my divorce papers, and sign my dd up for her car insurance.

Next time I go into the sky is falling thing, just call me Henny Penny, or just tell me to calm down, it will be alright. ::yes::

Yes, it WILL be alright!!

 for the signing tomorrow

and  extra for the DD's car insurance

Yer doin good girl!!! Keep it up and remember to breathe.:sunny:

Breathe in, breathe out, breathe in, breathe out. It might take some practice. ;)

Thank you all for your well wishes and your confidence in me. It feels good.

I have been on Lexapro for about 1 yr for anxiety that I've had my entire adult life. (i'll be 40 in Oct) I can not tell you the DIFFERENCE it has made in my life. It's just AMAZING!!!! Everyone has noticed it & commented on it. All those years of suffering.

I return to the dr next month to start weaning me off of it. I'm REALLY REALLY hoping I don't go back to the way I used to be.

A co-worker & I started Lexapro about the same time. The worst symptom we both experienced for the first month or so was complete exhaustion starting around 4pm. But it went away a month into it. I ended up having my dosage doubled to 20mg. She has since switched to Welbutrin. One great benefit we both experienced with Lexapro ---- no PMS symptons at all! ;)

Good luck!!!! I resisted the drug method for YEARS!!!!!! Boy, was I wrong!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was hoping someone had some experience with this. Thanks! :D

I posted something about a yr ago asking for info when I started it. I'll try to find it. I got alot of good replies.

Just don't forgrt, you'll get by with a little help from your friends.:flower1: :flower1: We'll all be pulling for you.
