I TRIED to pretend I was in Disneyland I really really tried. But its just NOT the same :( Even the churros are different.

I just love the feel and magic of Disneyland and miss it so!

yeah, the churros at the san diego zoo don't taste nearly as good either.

The only thing that turned out first visit to seaworld around was seeing the Pets Rule show. Before that we were having a fairly bad, boring day. Then we saw that and for the rest of the day had fun, and we've been back a few times since (with plans to go in a couple weeks). :)

But before seeing the Pets show, I'm right there with ya. Though we don't eat there...crazy expensive and the food sounds awful.

We've been to Seaworld in Orlando and had fun. The kids were looking at the pictures and thought it looked fun so we're going to take a day and see the one in San Diego.

Well, Sea World is no Disneyland for sure, but I love it there! I haven't been in probably 4 years and I am really wanting to go back.

I'm trying to see if we can fit a day at Sea World into our June trip. Maybe right after DL, but what's making it nearly impossible are the hotel prices!!!

For a family of 6, I can either get some kind of suite for around $350 a night (NOT!) or rent 2 rooms at a dumpy Super 8 or Days Inn at $150 EACH. :headache:

Oh well. Sorry for going off topic. But I do hope to make it back there sometime. I'll make a note to avoid the churros though. ;)

SeaWorld is definitely not the same! But it is really nice if you just want a casual, laid-back day. And you can't beat the weather!

My son and DH are headed there for a 5th grade trip tomorrow, I am at little jealous but hey next month we are all going to DL!:thumbsup2

Seaworld sounds like fun, but none of these places can compare. I made that mistake when we went to Marine World a few years ago in No. California. I kept comparing everything to DL, ruined that day. LOL Not the same!

We live in San Antonio so that is the SeaWorld we go to. We have season passes and its worth it just to go at Halloween and during Christmas to see the penguins :)

But when I am in a Disney mood SW just doesn't compare!

We have annual passes to SeaWorld we love it so much. We can spend almost everyday there. I find it so peaceful & beautiful. With the oasses we can go til it gets busy and then head to the beach for a few hours or the mall if it's really hot.
Just wish we lived closer so we could go more often.

Ok, in total agreement that SeaWorld can't compete with the magical quality that Disneyland possesses...but we really had fun there last time we went....am going to take a day trip there during our next Disneyland trip (leaving June 3)

I thought the breakfast with Shamu was great...and the kids loved getting to feed the dolphins. The only bad part was having a kamikaze seagull just about knock me into the manta ray pool because it wanted the little tray of fish I had bought for them at feeding time. Scared me, but came off as a comedy routine to the surrounding audience. lol

I love Sea World and I love Disneyland. But you can't compare the two because one park is to educate about marine conservations mixed in with entertainment and Disney...well that all about entertainment. I love going there because even during busy times at Sea World, its calm, its relaxing and the weather is awesome.
