High school freshman >_<(9th grade)

I dunno then I was in private school in 6th grade so maybe that's why

Wait until you guys get to college.... you have to get a whole bunch of shots to live in a dorm, including meningitis...

*steps out of comfort bubble*

I don't remember having shots since Kindergarten... No needles, or any other sharp pointy things...

*steps back into comfort bubble and shudders at thought of needles*

Maybe it was just were you live. I go to a private catholic school so I would have got it. Thank goodness I didn't. He he, I thought you were in like 12th grade nano lol

oooh.... owie! i am also quite squemish at the thought of a total stranger making an extremely sharp object pierce my skin and injecting heck knows what into my veins! ooh, i wanna faint at the thought. on second thought, when i was like six i watched an operation on TV about two siamiase twins getting seperated :happytv: ...... wait if im not squemish WHAT AM I?????? :confused3 LOL

anyways im in 7th too and yet haven't gotten ANY form of shots in any grade any school, any anything. i usually get them by my local doctor. hmm.. i wish i stayed long enough to know his name before i ran screaming out of the room... " MOM YOU DIDNT TELL ME THEY WERE GONNA GIVE ME A SHOT!!!!!!"

heh heh, i cry like a baby when we go to the doctor

but the good news is i just recently learned i dont need a shot for like 7 years!!! :woohoo:

dreams really DO come true!!! :cloud9:

I went to a british based prep school. North America does not allow some shots to be given here unlike in Asia where I use to live. So I guess since some shots aren't given their scedule might be messed up.

P.S. About the meninginits(sp) shot. We just got a notice from school saying that a new vaccine for one very particular time had come out and that if we wanted it we had to get it from our own doctor and not the school. AND we had to pay for it.

P.P.S. If anyone remembers having to take two drops of this liquid that tasted like salty and made everything inside you hurt and burn and then they gave you a shot after that it was probably your polio booster.

Nope, don't remember that. We don't have to pay for our shots though, maybe at the hospital but not when the PD region gave us the forms and gave us the shot at school. My arms a bit better, but it's sore and it feels like there's something poking me nonstop.

No one in Canada pays for their medical stuff. It's free in all of Canada. Like if I went there by car and got into a accident and needed major surgery I wouldn't have to pay for it.

Yeah we learned about that in grade 4 as part of social studies..

Yeah, that would be cool if we didn't have to...but ive been to Canada!

at disneyworld....nevermind..but other than that how is your friend doing?

I haven't heard from her. She didn't come to school yesterday, like I said she had a dentists appointment and a wedding rehersal after school on Thursday so something could have happened. Today is the day of the wedding so she won't be home until later on.

She had to make up at 8 in the morning to get ready for pictures, and god knows how cold it was in the morning- we just got some snow.
