I was waitlisted, do I still have a chance?!?

I applied at Disneyland and got my WBI and after passing I scheduled my virtual interview. I think it went pretty well and was offered the job and asked if Aug. 22 (next month) would work for me. I accepted. She asked if I had any vacation plans and I mentioned that I did (last week of October). The interview proceeded and thats when I was offered the job and told to keep a lookout on my email. Anyway, 10 mins after my interview she called me and mentioned that since my vacation fell on Halloween my days off weren't approved, by the person in charge of the department, since they were expecting a busy time period. She then offered me to keep the position and forfeit my trip or be placed on the waitlist and be called around November after my trip (she said that more positions open up around that time). Since my trip has been a year in the making I just couldn't cancel and chose to be on the waitlist. Any chance I will be called back?

I think so. They are hiring plenty of part time people to p.o. the union….
