.... and found these of my India trip, thought a few of you might like to see them.

the most famous sight in India and exceptionally stunning, I really wasn't bothered about seeing it but being shown around and being told the greatest love story of them all has endeared it somewhat.
it is so beautiful and perfect (well except for the three deliberate imperfections)

this is one of two temples that are situated at either side of the Taj (as you are looking at it above) they too are stunning and are perfectly symmetrical.

travelling through the countryside in the more remote areas this is a typical village school, when we visited thechildren kept shouting 'BBC' at us as thats the only reference they had for a group of white people with camera equipment. They were so excited and came pouring out of their school to greet us. One wordfrom their teacher though and they lined up and kept quiet!

Wow! Fantastic photos!

The buildings are absolutely stunning, but I love the photo of the schoolchildren coming out to meet the 'BBC'! And the tigers ... you must have been so thrilled!

thanks Hilary, I agree, I have a lot of footage of the kids and even more of the hustle and bustle of the local market, The people were so lovely, we visited schools and hospitals and it was great. November/December 2004 and yet it feels like just yesterday!

Thanks peeps, I have tons of the little tigger in the udergrowth (the middle tigger pic)- I took that from the back of an elephant with NO ZOOM!!! thats how close I was, it was the most spiritual feeling I've ever had, I so wanted to get down and stroke her, she was so silent and ethereal sitting there (she had a kill a few feet away and babies hidden in the bushes).
The top pic was a male tigger that we tracked in Kanha, the jeep on the right was the other half of our group and we had followed that old tigger for about 20 minutes before the others caught up with us, he was very upset, he was trying to go for a poo, and, like domestic cats, didn't like being watched. the poor thing was probably constipated after that as he kept crouching down beside the road but then he'd look over his shoulder and would move on again :rotfl2:

the bottom tigger was a little lady we came across in Ranthambhore the best known and most commercialised of the tiger parks, she too had babies nearby hidden which is why she's guarding her kill so well.
about half an hour before I took that pic Barbara that I wa swith and I decided we needed a pee so persuaded the men to stop, we made the guys stay by the jeep while we walked behind a bush, When we came out they were all gathered around chatting excitedly, we thought they were laughing at us peeing in the bush but then they explained they'd just found really fresh tiger tracks - belonging to that tiger!!! yeek! :lmao: can you imagine us crouching down and that huge tiger walking a few feet away whilst we're peeing!
