I was thinking about adding the DDP to my 6 night reservation <m>

after looking over my ADR's. I have 2 table service lunches (CP character lunch and San Angel), plus H & V Fantasmics, Cape May Cafe, Akersaus, Plaza, and Rose and Crown dinner reservations. We are a family of 7, and 4 would be at the $10.99 child rate. My parents are also coming, but are on a different reservation, so they would've have to be on the plan. We're not big dessert eaters (but I guess we could learn - LOL), but according to my calculations, the DDP would cost us about $150 a day - we spend $85 the last time we went to a local diner! Should I get it?

are you going in 07 or 08? If its this year, definitely get the DDP. IF its 08, remember that each meal you will be hit with 18% gratuity weather your on the DDP or not. Were also a family of 7 and for us that meant a tip at H & V of $35.

We're going November 2007. I wasn't going to bother with it, but then after i checked how many TS ADR's I have, and how many meals we're planning on eating at CS, plus the fact that 4 of my kids will be $11 a day, and will definately cost more than that out-of-pocket, I'm leaning towards the DDP. We're staying in a 2 bedroom villa, so breakfast will be there every day, but it would be nice not to have to return daily for lunch.

You listed 7TS meals, but only get 6 in the DP. So I assumed the Plaza would be OOP and removed it from the calculation.

It would cost $598 for your 3 adults to eat those TS meals OOP(includes tax and 18% tip). The DP cost for 3 adults is $702, so for $104 you get 18 CS meals and a 18 snack credits. You'll pay at about $10 for a CS meal and an average of $3 per snack.

Its a no brainer, buy the plan.

I didn't bother with the kids meal plan because there isn't a TS meal for less than $11, so theirs is always a great deal.
