MONDAY, DEC 3:

Actually, could have slept in this morning as had plans to meet at the boat dock at 9:30 to go to MGM and then Epcot for the day. But, I woke up early, did my packing and talked to Kara and my mom. Found out that my aunt had died Saturday night, but that the news wasn’t to spoil my last day. Orders from my mom. Kara told me on the phone that she was missing me - but that she would see me Tuesday afternoon after choir rehearsal.

I got myself in gear, and made it to the boat dock and met up with Dave. We arrived at MGM and did Rock an Rollin - bypassing Tower of Terror - we both figuring we had had our share of rides the other night. We then caught the Beauty and Beast Show, Little Mermaid and the Hunchback shows - which all were great as usual.

Leaving MGM when ran into Captain Hook. Stopped for a quick picture and as I was leaving I said "see ya you old cod fish" Hook started to chase me and he hooked my back pack and got me for what I had said.

From MGM, back to the boat to EPCOT, where watched the Circle of Life show, I sent a couple of picture emails and wandered around the countries again. We even had a beavertail - one with apples.

Our next scheduled stop was the 5 p. m. Candlelight Processional. I had never seen this and enjoyed it tremulously. While waiting in line, got to watch the Tapestry of Dreams parade one more time. We did not do the dinner package for Candlelight, so we were standing in line for general admission (I guess this is what it was called). We were seated fairly quickly and were about half way back and about in the middle.

This was a great performance and the choirs were great. Our guest reader was Wayne Brady and he was good too. By the time they started singing Silent Night -first in German and then English, my eyes were misty and by the time Let There be Peace on Earth I was quietly taping and crying. Plus, I got to thinking about my aunt and missing Kara’s performance.

After the show, we slowly made our way to the monorail station, where we were headed to the Contemporary for dinner at the California Grill. When I knew that I was going and that it was Dave’s birthday - I told him his birthday dinner was on me. We even got to ride up front on the monorail. Got to see some of the MK’s fireworks during our ride. Talk about timing.

We shopped for (pins - lol) before going up for dinner. Had a little bit of a wait (I think about 20 minutes) as they were very busy that night. We were seated at a table by the window, basically looking at the Grand Floridian, Wilderness Lodge and just a bit of the Poly. If we looked back to our right we could see the castle. Great seats.

Time for dinner. We started off with cheese flat bread with sun dried tomatoes, Dave had some sushi, (yuck - sorry), more bread, then I had the chicken while he had the striped bass. We also shared two desserts - the creme buelle and lemon magarine soufflé with hot lemon butter sauce. WOW, man oh man was our dinner great.

About the time our desserts arrived, fireworks started going off in the lagoon right in front of us. At first, we thought maybe it was a special show for the media that had started coming in for Walt’s birthday on Wed., but no those would be going off around the castle. Found out later, that it was a company doing a fireworks demo. Whatever the case, it was one of the best fireworks shows I have ever seen. They just kept coming and coming. You thought they were done - but no, they would start up again. During a "lull" applause could be heard throughout the restaurant again and again. It seemed that the show lasted about half hour - I wished I had taped it but with the glass, it wouldn’t have been very good.

We slowly finished our desserts and walked ever so slowly back to the monorail station. From the Contemporary, we went to the TTC center to catch the bus for the Dolphin and Yacht and Beach Club (which share the same bus).

Alas, the trip was over, Tiffany was picking us up at 5:45 a. m. for that dreaded flight home. I sadly crawled into bed knowing that my fun time was at a close.

Marla I saw the Candlelight processional this week and I cried during "Let there be Peace"..it is moving!! Great trip report!

Gotta do CP. Its great to know you got a good seat w/o buying the pkg.

I heard some of the CP while I was there and the singing was incredible.

I know that you must of been moved by the music.......and belated birthday wish to DAVE......

Sorry to hear about your aunt, but you seemed to make the most of it and enjoyed a great last night in WDW.
