:confused3 by a statetrooper nonetheless, for 6 miles :confused3 :earseek: He was this far off of Pearl's bumper :earseek: And he follows me when I get off the interstate, passes me, and doesn't even use his signal :earseek: Are they exempt from traffic laws? :confused3

Apparently. :confused3

Michie, were you doing 45 in a 35 on your pogo stick again? ;)

I had a motorcycle tailgating me so close I was very close to a hand gesture. :moped: I noticed that the front of the bike said REPORT or something. Once the blue light came on I realized it said TROOPER (oops!); gotta remember the mirror image thing!

Gosh, just tonight I was nearly hit by a police officer who failed to yield. I was SO mad!!!! It isn't quite fair.

He wasn't tailgaiting you, He was running your plates. And when you didn't fudge up, he went his merry way!

Was this in Passaic County, NJ? :p

UrsulasMyHero, I don't think that's any excuse and sounds like borderline entrapment -- drive aggressive to entice an innocent driver to do something aggressive? Sounds ridiculous to me. Even so, the trooper should have used his signal. It doesn't exactly set a good example to everyone else.

Seems to happen all the time here in Central Florida. They follow you for a goodly time, and all the while you're freaking out that they're so close. If you were to step on your breaks they'd end up hitting you. When they get the report back clean, they move on to the next person.

While it's not the proper behaviour, it seems that the more agressive the officer the more likley it is to happen, especially if he's not written his... well you know they don't have quota's any more. :rotfl2:

and yes, I do have friend who work in the Sherriff's dept. tell me this is what the officer is doing, so I am going by their word of mouth. No it does not set a proper example, but there are bad apples in every lot.
