I was so dissapointed!

This afternoon I ordered egg drop soup for lunch. (After all the talk about egg drop soup last week ) It was disgusting Is it suppose to look like a jello? I remember my mom used to make those packets of chicken noodle soup and add an egg to it. (I loved it it was brothy and not jelloey. )

No that is not how egg drop soup should be. Yuck! I would have sent it back. I love egg drop soup - when it is good. Since moving almost 45 minutes away from my old neighborhood I have yet to find a Chinese Resturant where I would try the soup.

Good egg drop is brothy, with pieces of silky egg whites lightly flowing through it. They are supposed to be soft and flowy.

Not every Chinese restaurant can make good egg drop soup. I have definately tasted some bads ones before. A lot of times, I can tell the restaurant will be good if they make good egg drop.

Add a little pepper and some scallions........yumm!

That sucks that you had a bad experience.
