auction stuff and it got me wondering... What is the best deal you have ever gotten on any piece of Disneyana of an auction site?

I would have to say the CM christmas pin I got. It was my best as it was from 1986 and I had traded away the one I had in my collection to a person who needed it to complete a set. I never thought I would complete mine so I was shocked when I saw another the pin up on ebay a few months later... Well that was it... I had to go and try to complete the set... Now just to get the last 2 I need.. After trying for 2 years...

So how about you... Was it a pin... A Snow Globe... An old book or poster...

What was your found treasure???

The best deal I ever got was probably on my 2000 millennium cross-u pin... Believe it or not I got it for only $3 which I thought was really good.

The best I even got was 2 yrs ago on Yahoo. It was the 5 pin set WDCC with Tink,Big Bad Wolf,Donald and Daisy and Cinderella's dress and Bambi. I got it for $11. and $2. shipping.

I have to say I have gotten some real deals. Some have just been nice traders for $1 a piece.
One recent *win* was 9 pins that cost probably under $5 each, w/shipping. Two pins in the lot were pins I have seen sold individually on Ebay for $35+ each. (The seller just had the collection listed poorly.)
I have *won* nice lots of pins that broken down cost maybe $4 a piece with shipping. And one even included a DL mystery pin. Not too shabby.
There are deals to be had. But if you don't watch it and know what you are buying, you can be had too. ;)

A Plane Crazy Filmstrip pin for $5 a few months ago :D

In Sept of 2000 there was a pin auction that had a description of pin #166 which is the 2000 logo press pin from the press set released in 1999 for all the new attractions that opened in that year. There was no pic and only a physical description of the pin not that it was a press pin or anything else about it. Well we thought what the hay.. Scoop is looking for that one and if it isn't the pin we think it is then we are only out $8.... It was...HEHE
