I went to Disney and now I'm no longer in the Christmas mood. It just didn't seem right swimming in December. Now that I'm back in the cold and snow, hopefully I'll feel Christmas-y again soon. How do you Southners do it?????? :D

I don't want to admit it, but I feel the same way. We returned home Dec 2nd, and I no longer am in the mood for Christmas. Don't get me wrong, the trip was wonderful and fun and everything, but somehow walking amongst blooming roses kinda killed the spirit of the season for me. I think it will be a long time before we travel to WDW during the holiday season again. :)

It is just what you get used to. Before moving to Florida, I lived in Phoenix, AZ for 8 years. I got to where I quite enjoyed being able to wear t-shirt and shorts while putting up outdoor Christmas lights. Made it fun for me. If it was cold, I don't think that I would have done half the outdoor decorating that I did.

I think that everyone finds their own way to get into the holiday spirit regardless of where they live. Every region will cue off of different things. In the warm climates, I start finding the spirit when the decorations start going up in the neighborhoods. I don't miss the "winter" weather and don't need it to get into the Christmas spirit.

I never had a snowy or really cold Christmas before I moved to Michigan. I prefer the Christmas without snow because that is what I grew up with...I hate snow.

I don't get very Christmasy since my son has grown up and moved away :(

We were in WDW for Christmas (on Christmas day) in 1999 and I tell ya - it was the hardest thing for me to get over!!!!! It did get a bit fridged during the evening hours while we were sitting waiting for the fireworks and ELP but it just didn't seem the same. Plus it had been the first time I had EVER been away from home on Christmas....was weird but I'd do it again I think!!!

Hmmm...I just returned as well and it didn't bother me at all. I loved seeing all the decorations!

Merry Christmas from Dixie!

I would KILL to have a Christmas of sun, warmth and swimming. I'm just biding my time until DD gets out of college, and then I'll be doing WDW every Christmas - cause I'll be living in Florida! :D

I was raised in Florida. I admit, that I really don't like it when it is hot at Christmas. The weather is hard to predict in the winter. Today it didn't get passed 55. But, tomorrow is suppose darn near 70, then rain and more cold (by our standards) moving in this weekend.

I was in the jolly mood for Christmas before our cruise was cancelled. Now Im just feeling very miserable.

And we feel miserable right along with you.

For those of you who want to feel Christmasy, come see the yuck, I mean snow outside. I'd kill for sun and fun!!!

It is hard to feel "Christmasy" when it's warm. In GA, we built a nice fire in the fireplace, watched Christmas shows, and opened up the patio and front doors to let all the heat out of the house. :p

We don't have a fireplace in Florida now, but sometimes I turn on the AC in the car. :(
