Same here. And I would like to believe that my Dis friends on VMK are a better judge of my reputation, than my post count. Although I can see where that didn't work out in this case for Lisa.

Exactly, which is why a DIS friend from the VMK would PM you the "secret handshake". I feel that anyone who is trustworthy should get the password. There are people like me with few posts for the amount of time I have been here on the DIS, and there are people who have been here as long with up to 10 times the posts I have.

It would only be a way to try to trust people. Its sad that some players use the DIS name to gain trust when it is not deserved. This idea of a secret handshake is not meant to hurt anyone, it is only meant to help an unfortunate circumstance.

I know I'm still pretty new here. And in all honesty did not want to join, however my GF *NikkiBell* after much presistance convnced me to sign up. I am glad that i finally caved in I have met some new friends, as well as a few people i'd just as soon forget. I too have gotten screwed over durring a trade (blondekaty) so i'm sorry it happened to you as well. I am going to start a new thread to list all the deadbeat traders. this way we can keep one another abreast of who not to trade with. Hopefully it will reinstill the community feeling that we have here on the dis!

So sorry to here this happened to you. I know how it feels I lost my first crown to someone who said they were on Dis. Never got it back. I have been there and it feels totally horrible. I also thought I was in a room full of Dis people well it was not all Dis. So now I make sure that there are active posters to the VMK board first. Sorry you lost all that stuff. I will keep an eye out for flowergal. You are too nice of a person to get burned like this.
