Sorry about what happened to you. I will be on the lookout for her and warn my son who is 7 to stay away from her. I keep trying to tell him not to trade unless I am near him on the computer.

On another note, I do not have high post counts because I really like to read the posts more than posting myself. Especially if the answers were already given. As someone said above I am not a chatty cathy type person but I hope to see you in VMK and become friends. I originally joined DIS to chat on the DVC boards and then found the VMK board. My name is SnowyW also on VMK and my son is KingZ. Please don't be afraid of us we wouldn't do something like this to anyone.

Oh, I am so sad to hear that you were scammed. I found VMK because I had been lurking here for about 8 months. I joined VMK first and have only recently joined here so I am a "newbie".

It is sad to find out someone is unreliable but at least you have the knowledge that all of us "genuine" people, new and old DIS, will support you as best we can. I will keep an eye out for her and whenever I see her I will let everyone in the room know that she is a scammer.

Well I hope you get this issue resolved and please know that not all new DISers are cheats or untrustworthy. I have made some great new friends here and have done several favors/ acts of kindness to hopefully prove myself to my fellow DIS. So just know that along with the "bad", you have some new "good" friends as well and we are on your side to make things right....

Is there a thread where people can list the game player/user names of people who have "cheated" them in the game? If not, can we start one so everyone can know to steer clear of those players!? If the person finally follows through, the poster can always remove their player name from the list later, if need be....

Lisa, I am sorry that this happened to you, but I appreciate your post so we can stay away from this person. I only trade with people I know very well and your story has only served to reinforce this practice. I wish I had teleportation magic to give you, but I don't have it myself! I don't have any crowns either, but I have an extra cowboy hat if that would lessen the pain of being scammed. PM me if you would like it!

Sorry to hear that Lisa!!! I hope she makes amends real soon. I know I never allow my girls to trade anything unless I am there. They made the mistake once and then they felt bad in the end. Luckily it was something that I had a quest card for (gold ears), so I was able to replace for them.

You know, that is a GREAT idea! Except how we would we know if untrustworthy newbies got a hold of it. Unless it were something like it had to be PMed to you. And you only got it after a certain number of posts or the equivalent of time spent on the DIS.
For example, I only have 340 or so posts but I have been a member here for a few years.. Hmm, this will get me thinking.

Same here. And I would like to believe that my Dis friends on VMK are a better judge of my reputation, than my post count. Although I can see where that didn't work out in this case for Lisa.
