I was almost named.....

I'm a BrookeLynne Nichole (yes, the first name is one word with a capitol letter thrown in). Had I been a boy, I would have been Harley...after Harley Davidson's.

My daughter is Maysain (sounds like Mason) Kendylle. I thought she was going to be Hunter James and I didn't believe the doctor when she said it was a girl. I told her she had the wrong baby. The day I left the hospital I had to name her and I threw it out there and her dad picked the spelling of the first name. To this day I wish she would have been a Sadie Lenore. Oh well....I guess I'll have to get a fish or something to use that name.

I would have been Mark David had I been a boy.
Mom knew I was a girl. I guess after five pregnancies, you just feel the difference. She also had four boys and wanted another girl.
Some of the other choices for names for me were- Olivia, Maude (?!) and Emma.
They decided on Susan Emma, thank goodness

It's a great name! She'll just be explaining that she's just Kate, not short for anything. I once had a lady argue with me that I was lying about my name! It doesn't happen often though.

My middle name is Elizabeth. Kate Elizabeth flows quite nicely in case you wanted an idea ! ;)

I find it funny that she'll have to explain. The only Kate's I ever knew were actually named Kate. Not until I met my wife did I find out Kate was short for Katherine

I was almost named Bridget, after Bardot. My mother refused and Dad tried it again with my sister. In compromise, we both got French names, lol!
Mimi and Renee

I was adopted as an infant, so I already had a name..

Really??? Me too! I used to be named Priscilla. I wonder who gave that name? The birthmother? I did spent my first 2 months in a foster home, so I guess they had to call me something.

I like my "new" name (Cindy) much better.

I'm Nicole Renee, but only because I was lucky (or stubborn) enough to be 6 days late! I was due on my uncle's birthday - Mom's only brother, he liked to remind her - and she had agreed to name me after him if I was born on his birthday. Would you believe I would have been Randi Sue?

I was adopted so they knew they were getting a baby boy.
They named me Cory, but dad wanted to name me John Henry.. you know the steel driving man? Thank you Mom...

I was supposed to be Lauren, but somehow ended up Julie. :confused3 I would have been Robert if I were a boy.

We thought our first baby was going to be a boy and we planned to name him Patrick. Erin was born a few months later. :rotfl:

We thought our second baby was a girl and we planned to name her Kate. DH wanted Katherine and I wanted Kathleen. We couldn't agree, so we decided to go with "just Kate." A few months later, Patrick arrived. :rotfl:

By baby #3, we finally got it right. We thought it was a boy...and it was. We named him Sean, but he would have been Hallie if he were a girl.

If I was a boy I would either be Jeffry or Michael. Had I been born on my due date (December 24) I was going to be Noel. Because I was two days early I got the name Lauren.

lol my DD(6) was named Noelle because she was born 5 days before Christmas.

My parents just KNEW I was a boy. Knew it. Positively. I was going to be Kurt Andrew. Well, out I came, two weeks late no less, and I was most definitely not a boy. They never thought up girl names, so they used the same initials, and I became Kimberly Ann. Ann is the middle name of my mother and her sister, I guess coming up with a first name wore poor Mom out so she went with what she knew for the middle name.

I was supposed to be a Florence. I can't see myself as a Florence. If I was a boy, I would have been Simon.

I was born during the Bewitched years, so Samantha was the name my 10 yr old brother wanted to name me if I was a girl. Well I was a girl , but I ended up being born on Halloween. My mom changed it because she said everyone would call me Samantha the Witch. Whatever! I got stuck with Rhonda. UGH
I did name my youngest daughter Samantha though.lol
