I was about to give up when.....

Last night I was looking at the DISboards and thinking that after all of these months making and sending in postcards and not winning anything, that I was going to give up and not send in any others. I mean all that I want is a lanyard with pins for my DD2, I don't even care about the DVC. I leave for Disney in seven days so I was hoping that I might be able to win a dream there but I have already been two other times during the contest. Once we were named the Family of the Day at the Garden Grill, but other than taking pictures with all of the characters at once and getting fast passes to Living with the Land, we didn't get any kind of certificate (ok, being ungrateful now). Yes, I was having a Disney pity party. Today the mailman passes as usual, no stopping, no box, nothing. However, she backs up to the house and gets out. I am running through the front yard to see the package that she is carrying. I can't even sign the slip because I am trying to read the label. YES, you guessed it, we won. Actually my DD won and it was a pair of ears. The best part of this story is that today is DD's 3rd birthday and she won ears on her birthday. I had goosebumps while helping her open the package. I am totally restored in the Disney magic. I will be sending in more postcards. Maybe my dream of that lanyard will come true after all.

I can say I am still waiting to win from a postcard and nothing yet. Been sending them everyday since Jan. I am about ready to give up and then I read someone else who has been waiting a long time win something!!

I guess that it was unfair to say that I had lost the Disney magic. I am just not the lucky kind of person that wins contests. Then today I got two boxes with ears in each. I guess that my luck has turned around. YEAH!

OP, thanks for the birthday wishes for my DD! I told her that it was from one of Mommy's Disney friends.
