I was finally able to get into the Poly! I am so excited. We were originally booked at the GF for our trip. I just couldn't get excited about this resort. Everyone here on the boards gave me great encouragement about the GF and I truly appreciated it. There was just something holding me back. I can't explain it. Even my DH could tell something was different about this trip. He could tell I wasn't my usual disney obsessed self. The funny thing is I have never stayed at the Poly before. But I have always wanted to. So now we are off to the Poly in two short weeks and I am about to jump out of my skin with excitement.
And just a word of encouragement to anyone trying to switch resorts or get into your favorite. Don't give up. I tried for almost two months to switch with no luck. And then magically something was available. So keep trying.
Oh and the best thing is the surprise we have for my girls. Every trip without fail my girls always ask if we can leave to go to disney a day early. The day before our trip they always ask, actually beg, can we please leave now. Of course the answer is always no because of our reservations. But not this time. I called and added an extra day to the beginning of our trip. So when my girls get home from school and start begging to leave now, I am just going to say, "Sure, hop in the car, let's go." I can't wait to see the expressions on their faces.
