Well here is the deal Disboards..
As my Sig says this year Ive made 2 seperate trips to Disney world. So they sent me a 30-40% off resorts pin that most people have recieved and I plan to use it.. Thing is I am single now and unemployed. Soooo I can travel whenever I want, and can do anything I want.. I want to go down to FL before it gets warm.. So I plan on going in Jan-March time.. I want to hear what you all think is a good time to go..

Any special events going on, ESP disboard meets..? I just want some ideas on when to go.. Thanks..

Also I am solo, any tips for solo trippers/ anyone wants to meet up down there let me know..

Also I was born and raised in Sarasota, and my grandparents still live close by in Parrish. So I am going to be in FL doing other things.. Lets hear your favorite things to do in ALL of FL...

Just got back from a quick trip to Cape Cod. Surprised no one's responded with any ideas.

Spring is great if you dodge Spring breakers/Easter wk. I would lurk at the Theme/Strategies Board for the poll on when schools are out. Don't know about going solo or meets but there's alot of info here.

We've explored parts of FL and love the Gulf beaches. Lover's Key, Clearwater, Fort DeSoto... and along the coast are nice. It's good you have family to see while you're down there. We've been to the Ringling museum in Sarasota and a few spots in that area. If you're a member of AAA you can get the big fat AAA guidebook (free) and I don't think you'll miss any possibility of an attraction, park, sight in the whole state. Of course just visiting the Disney hotels can be interesting too. Have fun whatever you decide.

Thanks for the reply vivianne.. Ive done alot of research and found some good spots. I might head down to lovers key and look to snorkel in the state park there.. Thanks for your tips..

I've only been to Florida a handful of times. Touring Kennedy Space Center was interesting.

Hey Judy thanks for the tip on the space center. Id really love to see a shuttle go off and Ive been lookin at their scheduals for it alot lately. Thanks for your tips...

Hey Lynn thanks for the link to the state fair sounds fun.. My gparents live SO close to Tampa too, I just may check that out. Thanks a million!
