I really want to hear about your wedding. I just love weddings. The good, the bad, and the ugly!
How long have you been married? Where'd you get married? Did you have a limo? A carriage? A 1,000 people or just 10? Did you smash the cake in his face? Did anything go wrong? Have you or will you ever renew your vows?
Dh and I got married June 27, 1993. It was an outdoor ceremony in Los Angeles in a garden setting with a huge fountain, roses, etc. The reception was in a building right next to the ceremony. Everything went surprisingly well. The baker forgot our cake topper but since that was the worst that happened it was no biggy. We just stuck flowers up there. He was very nice with the cake but not me. I smashed a piece right in the middle! He got me back though by grabbing me and giving me a big kiss so we were both covered with frosting. We have pics of the whole thing. So funny to look at!
We had about 75 people, mainly close family and friends. It was great. We danced to Always and Forever. We ate food prepared by a family friend who does catering. I was never nervous and I can attribute that to my mom and my 2 aunts who made sure everything went smoothly. If there was any problems they kept it from me. I was blissfully unaware!!
We took off in DH's jeep without the top on. We had balloons, streamers, "just married" signs, the works, decorating the jeep. We were cruising through the streets of L.A. and Hollywood in his jeep with our wedding attire on getting lots of whistles, horn honks, etc. To me, it was perfect.
Someday I'd like to go to Vegas and renew our vows. Maybe for our 20th! Your all invited!!

Any plans for the occasion?
he decided not to show up so FIL was best man and just wore the suit he brought. We had only about 10 people there since most of our families live out of town.
The reason for such a short engagement was because DH was going into bootcamp for the Marines on 4/19 and we wanted to get married beforehand so we could live together on base. (He ended up getting injured during bootcamp and coming home in June, but that's another post!) We had been together for 5 years already. We really wanted a WDW wedding, but most of our guest wouldn't be able to come to FL for a wedding, so we had our reception in NY.
