..for the many good thoughts, prayers, PD, good wishes, and positive energy being sent my way. Dan and I, along with our entire family, appreciate your thoughtfulness during this anxious time.

Right now I am most concerned about being able to complete the entire closed MRI. I didn't have much success when I had an open MRI in the fall. However, at that time, I did not receive any medication to help me through it. This time I am told I will receive Valium and Halcion. I hope that will get me through the entire length of the MRI. Since I'm rarely on the DIS these days, I'll ask Dan to let you know what day it will be scheduled and if you could keep me in your thoughts during that time, I would be most grateful.

It is urgent that I complete the MRI so that the doctors know which area to biopsy. I can tell you honestly that I'm anxious and nervous, but hopeful.

The past month has been very stressful for all of us here. As many of you may already know, Vince's dog, Doc, (our "grand-dog") was recently diagnosed with lymphoma. We just couldn't believe it! Doc is only 4 years old and such a beautiful, lovable dog. The vet told us that if we did nothing for him, he would die within 4-8 weeks. That is how quickly it would spread throughout his system. To make a long story short, we are taking Doc to a veterinary oncologist and he is going through a chemotherapy treatment program. As long as Doc is not suffering, we hope that this treatment he is receiving will prolong his life and keep him with us for a long time. We appreciate the prayers and good thoughts many of you have sent for Doc, too.

Once again, thank you all for the many prayers and good wishes. I know they are helping and will be a source of strength in the coming days and weeks.

May God bless all of you for your kindness.

Marie

Hi Marie-

Thanks for posting. I met your wonderful husband in December when I was at WDW with my mom. I watched Barry's DISmeet DVD's yesterday and thoroughly enjoyed getting to see you, Dan, and everyone else.

Just want you to know that you are on my mind, and I am praying for you, Dan, your family, and everyone involved.

Nice to finally "meet" you -

Krista

Many hugs, well wishes and prayers are headed your way Marie!! ::yes:: Please keep us informed as to when everything is scheduled. Maybe when you are the closed MRI, they can pump in some music from the theme parks...with the meds you will be given, you might even think you are actually there!! :teeth:

Please take care of yourself and your family (Doc included!!) You guys are a great bunch of people!! I have met Dan a couple times and have spoken to him on the phone. I hope to be able to meet you one day (I know Dan would love to spend time with YOU in WDW most of all!!:sunny: ). He was amazed to of met someone who is actually shorter than you!! We know that good things come in small packages, don't we!!?? ;)

HUGS!! :grouphug:

Nice to see you, Marie....*HUGS*

Do what you can to relax.

Nice to hear from you Marie. Prayers and pixie dust continue to come your way from alot of DISers. I can relate to your closed MRI fears. I have one tomorrow and I always need valium to get through it. The upside is then I'm a little loopy for the rest of the day, which kind of takes my mind off the whole reason for needing an MRI to start with.;)

Good luck to you.

Hi Marie,
I'm new here but I will keep you in my prayers . I sure hope Doc 's chemo works. My brother just had to put down his 10 year old Huskie because of cancerous tumors. He was losing weight and was in pain so my brother hated to do it but he did not want Lakota to suffer.
Take care,
dc

Sending hugs and more prayers your way!

Marie - I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

Marie, you remain in my prayers. As hard as it is to relax sometimes, I have a method that helps me out. I won't "let" myself worry until it's time. In other words, I won't let myself start worrying about something I fear (like a job interview or having my wisdom teeth out) until the day it is actually happening. That way I try not to waste a bunch of good moments with worry. It has seemed to help me through some tense moments. Of course, I certainly believe in the power of prayer being the most effective medicine, so I will keep you in my prayers. {{{HUGS}}}

Keeping you close in my prayers, Marie.

{{{HUGS}}} Marie and I'm keeping you in my prayers.

Marie, you are so sweet to take the time to thank us when you having more pressing things on your mind. Try not to worry too much about the MRI, I think the meds you will be getting will do the trick. I am extremely claustrophobic and wasn't able to get any meds prior to my MRI as I had to go back to work. The whole time I was "in" there, I just kept thoughts of my Disney trips in my head. I'm not going to pretend it was pleasant, it wasn't, but just when I thought I was going to lose it, it was over. I think if I could have had something to relax it would have been a breeze. :D

Certainly will be keeping you and your family in prayer. Know how difficult major medical issues can be on everyone from personal experience. You are very fortunate to have such a strong support system within your family!!

Marie, you will remain in my prayers. I hope that all this will turn out to be nothing to worry about. I also hope that doc will have a long and healthy life with you all. Take cae and keep us updated (through Dan if needed)

Be assured we are with you Marie. All the best:D

Marie, you're only getting what you give.

You and Dan have been there for me through some of the hardest times in my life. You only deserve the BEST!

Funny story about closed MRIs....

I had an MRI done a few years back for my shoulder. It was my second because my first I couldn't lay down long enough because of my acid reflux. Well, this time the practitionist was so proud of me he asked me to talk to his next patients in the waiting room. They turned out to be two basketball players from the Atlanta Hawks. They were literally SHIVERING in their robes. So here comes this little barely five feet tall girl in to calm down two scared guys who were over SEVEN feet!! It was HYSTERICAL!

Don't worry about a thing, Marie. Take a DEEP breath and realize it'll be alright...

God bless and we LOVE ya!

Marie - I'll be keeping you in my thoughts and prayers. Have you thought about doing hypnosis before the MRI. I underwent hypnosis when I had to go through Chemo and it really helped relax me and to get me through each session.
