I want to sell my 50 BCV points....

But we keep using them!!! We bought them to "even out" our numbers with our BWV points, then 50 points for the BWV came available so we bought them with the intention of selling the 50 BCV. It's been 2 years and we still use them! Are we the only ones or has anyone else had this "dilema"

I have the opposite problem, I am searching for a contract for 50 at the BCV. LOL!!!! I guess there are two sides to every problem!!

You're not alone. I would like to sell or trade one of our 50 point contracts at VWL for 50 at BWV. But, I always seem to use them before I get around to it.

That's the only thing I wish I had done differently, bought a few more at BWV.

Those of you that have stayed at both, which do you prefer during the Spring? I know that I want to purchase points at one of these resorts. I need to choose a use year and the number of points. I'm leaning towards BWV since the contracts come available more often. I'll then look to add smaller contracts at the BCV and VWL. I need VWL because we want to stay there during week before Christmas at least every other year. Ideal use year for VWL contract will be Aug-Oct. Of course, I need to purchase contracts with the same use years. Gee, one needs a matrix to figure this stuff out! During Spring, we only want to stay at BWV or BCV...

I was just musing the other day that I would like my points to swing more on the BWV side via a trade in contract - I'm not buying any more so it would have to be a trade. I have two contracts there 170+30 and three at BCV 40+45+100. I would like to have the two smaller ones at the BWV and just keep the 100 at BCV. Oh well, I'm still happy the way it is for now. Maybe someday!

Ahhh, I'd LOVE to have some BCV points!!! Do you realize how long DVC's waitlist is for those? You will have NO problem selling them (even stripped). I am looking for contracts EVERY day, but still haven't found anything. I have a feeling I am going to be on DVC's waitlist until 2041, and BCV will STILL be going for $85 per point with 1 year left!!!!

The BCV & BWV are both great. We alternate each trip. The BCV has the best pool and the BWV is closer to the Board Walk Bakery. The Boardwalk's pool isn't bad either. It's so hard to choose! You will love them both. (That's why I keep using my points!)

Yep! We've been meaning sell 100 BCV points, but never get around to it! We bought 100 at BWV with the intention of selling the 100 BCV points, but alas we still have them!

Well, it is one of the smallest resorts (it only has 208 accomodations). It has a GREAT location, and a really wonderful pool...StormAlong Bay. When you add all that up....it makes for some really hard to come by points. BCV consistently sells well above the asking price of other resorts, and sells VERY quickly. If you decide to buy there...grab a contract when you see it, and don't try to "haggle" on the price...there will be several other people trying to buy it at full price.

Given that BCV is popular, if it is not your home-resort, how hard is it to book a week there as a DVC member?

I think it depends on when you want to go, and how far in advance you can book. If you want BCV during food & wine festival, or early December on a fairly regular basis...you'd better own there. If you call right at the seven month window and get on the waitlist, you might have a chance of getting in. We called in Nov, for an April trip, and could get nothing at BCV or BWV. We got on the waitlist, and it still has not come through...but, I will STILL cross my fingers!!

But, remember...if you are not someone who plans very far out, at 7 months "points are points". Even owning there will not give you any advantage if you cannot plan a trip far in advance.
