I want to rent a stroller....

for my special needs son, BEFORE I get to Florida. I am in NJ. I have no idea where I can rent one. Does anyone know of any companies that rent out this type of equipment?

Did you look in the Disabilities FAQ 'sticky' thread? It's the fifth thread down from the top of the disABILITIES page. I know Sue's got a lot of excellent information and links there.

If this is to be rented and brought with you I would suggest looking in your local Yellow Pages under Wheelchairs. If it is to make arrangments in advance for one down here look in the "disABILTIES! FAQ" where several local suppies are listed where people have had positive experiences with them.

Thank you everyone. What I am trying to do is rent one actually in my state before we leave, b/c our plans in Florida kind of have us jumping around a bit. I did look into the medicaltravel link, thanks, and if I end up renting in Florida I think we will use them.

Do your child have a therapist (OT or PT) or is he in a school or early intervention program?
If so, someone there might know of a place in your local area that either rents them or has a lending closet where you could borrow one.
