I want to know your favorite genre!

In general w/movies and TV (I am not much of a reader) I like comedy the best.

You missed mystery genre, I enjoy a sub-genre called "cozy mysteries" or "cozies". Cozies are formulaic mysteries where a down-home, relatable character solves crimes using only their wits and life experience and these are generally a series of books that follows the same characters--Agatha Christie is probably the most famous author of cozies but my personal favorites are the Jane Jeffry series by Jill Churchill, The Cat Who series by Lillian Jackson Braun, Kate Jasper series by Jacqueline Girdner, and the Goldy Bear series by Diane Mott Davidson.

If we're talking movies I prefer comedies or something light.

I picked "Fantasy" but that's only for fiction. I love nothing better than epic fantasy series and I've literally spent decades reading certain ones (Wheel of Time ). That said, I read much, much more non-fiction with the Bible being primary, then works that focus on culture, politics and theology. Same with the podcasts I listen to.

What I watch is different. My favorite genre is always drama. I also like true crime, documentaries and some reality tv.

Give me a big, sprawling epic and I'm all in: Lawrence of Arabia, Dr. Zhivago, Gone With The Wind, Reds, etc.
