the timing is so great.......i have off of work during DD's spring break, Disney lifted the black out dates for the discounts over the week before Easter (our spring break) and i want to get to some warmth for a few days
I want to go so bad i can taste it - but i would have to charge 3/4 of it (around $1900)
and in my heart,i know that is not the right thing to do - so we won't go, but darnit i want to.

I want to go too! I have the Disney bug so badly-- and I have to wait until December. I'm as good as sick when I'm preggo, and I don't want to go with too young of a baby... then there's Christmas... my birthday... all the reasons not to go.

If it's any consolation, the warmth part is hit or miss..wouldn't you hate to go $1900 in debt and STILL be cold? ( work with me here ) As always, WDW will be there for you when the time is right.

Oh sure we will - Disney was plan "A"
plan "B" is still in the works - depending on the weather ( it can still snow at the end of March)
We will most likey take a day trip to the outlet malls, and/or mabye a quickie overnight trip to Wisconsin dells, etc. we can do anything we want i guess ( within reason)
we have an enitre week!

but i would still rather be in WDW

i know how you feel, OP. no vacation for us this year. our heat pump died on january 29th, in the midst of the coldest winter alabama has seen in a while, so we had to immediately replace it. we had planned to go to washington DC next week...oh well. maybe next year.

I know what you mean. I really wanted to go to WDW this year--we had to cancel last fall when our basement flooded during the GA floods. We didn't get any FEMA money and we had no flood insurance, so we had to do what we could ourselves and are waiting for our tax refund to finish the rest. The basement has been torn up for over 6 months!

But, like you OP, I wouldn't put a vacation on credit. Just not something we do. We may use a credit card on vacation, but we pay it off with savings when we get home. This summer we'll go camping for a few days and we'll go visit grandmothers in Florida. But otherwise, it's going to be a pretty barren summer for us.

Me too! Ugh, I'm hoping to go at the end of this december, but with graduation and such I don't think I can go.

This spring break we're (dbf and I) are headed to san diego. I'm hoping maybe (just maybe) we can drive up to disney for a day and half. That all depends upon when we can get away (planning on leaving on tuesday, and driving home saturday) on sunday afternoon or early monday morning.

Ugh, but with a wedding (most likely) in the works, I've got to save save save!
