My vote would go for the moderate! But, I would consider CBR or CSR. We loved CSR and I had never gave 2 thoughts about staying there. It was the only mod available and I just booked it on a whim. The queen size beds are wonderful!! The pool is fabulous and the resort itself is pretty and relaxing. No bus sharing either!

I've stayed at POFQ and although the boat to DTD is wonderful the resort just seems older and the pool is a bit lackluster. Not sure if you had much pool time planned. Perhaps you'd like POR?

I would like to stay at a Mod someday, but Madison really loves Pop (we all do). It really suits are needs. We just need somewhere to sleep and get ready to go in the morning. I don't have tons of pool time planned, so pools aren't a big deal to me. I do think the pool at CBR is awesome. I've heard so many mixed reviews about CSR, so that's probably last on my list. I don't really like the look of POR that much. The Mansions appeal to me, but not Alligator Bayou. Unless they come out with a stupendous deal, we'll be staying at Pop. I know it's a value, but I love it! I guess I'm drawn to big, bright colors and larger than life Play-Doh!

Disney Math sure is fun isn't it?? I went through a whole notebook last fall trying to figure out different calculations etc! Glad you guys got some good deals for your airfare! That sure is a releif! I really hope that a good deal comes out for you guys!

Disney math is fun, but sure makes you nutty! The airfare we got is beyond amazing and I couldn't be happier. We're going in Sept no matter what, but if a fantabulous deal comes out, that would make this trip even better. We're saving $200 off of our room currently, so at least it's something!

Look at all of those possible scenarios. All of the numbers can make your eyes go crossed. Hopefully a deal will be announced soon so a decision can be firmly made. We really loved Pop too when we stayed there.

Ooo, WL looks so beautiful! I must say, the deluxes appeal to me much more than the mods. Someday, we will stay Deluxe!!! I'm just keeping my fingers crossed for ANY discount right now.

Once again, I've changed my mind!!! IF some super duper spectacular deal comes out and we can switch to a mod, I just might have to choose CBR. It's a fav of a lot of my Snowbird buddies and I just went to allears and looked at more pics. I still think POFQ looks gorgeous though. I know that CBR is HUGE compared to POFQ, but I know Madison would go crazy over that pool. I know that no matter where we stay I'll be happy (value or mod). Ok, I need to stop thinking about resorts and occupy my time some other way!!!

Nothing wrong with thinking about resorts. I have never stayed at POFQ but we'd love to sometime, since we got married in New Orleans. I have, however, stayed at CBR and we loved it (especially the hammocks!). The only downside I remember was the buses that have multiple pick-ups around the LARGE resort. So it takes quite awhile to get to the parks, compared to what you probably get at Pop. As long as you give yourself plenty of time, I think you'll love the resort.

The buses are definately a downfall of CBR. I like being able to hop on a bus and go directly to my destination. Maybe in Sept the buses wouldn't be as bad?? Disney just needs to release their fall promo (whatever it may be) so I can stop thinking about resorts!!! I just showed Madison pics of both POFQ and CBR. Her jaw dropped when I showed her the CBR pool! After I showed her the pool at POFQ, she said she couldn't make up her mind. She loves water slides!

I've never really gone back and forth like this when it comes to resorts. This is only the 3rd trip that I've planned (all the rest have been with my parents) and our 2nd time staying on property as a family (stayed on property two other times with my parents). Last June, it was a spur of the moment trip and Pop fit our budget. Now that we have all this time to plan and think things over, I keep flip flopping.

I've heard about the piano guy at POFQ, but my family probably wouldn't be interested in it. Even though the parks close earlier, we'll be using EMH so we'll still be out late!

I do the same thing with resorts, constantly!! Ive never stayed at CBR but i've stayed at the other 3 mods POFQ is my favorite because I just love the theming and the boat to downtown disney!

I'm always so glad to hear I'm not the only resort flip-flopper! POFQ looks so peaceful. I'm already planning on taking the boat from DTD to POFQ to get some beignets!!!

I know that we will make the right decision for us. When I mentioned staying at a mod to my DH, I don't think he was sold on it. When you eat dinner at 4:30pm, you're definately going to need some kind of snack a few hours later!!!

I've been keeping my eye on a bunch of free dining threads, but the one opened by Canadian Guy is the best one. He is a Moderator and has been getting some info from people he knows. His latest update is that a fall promo probably won't be released for awhile. As in...don't expect anything to come out in these next 7-10 days. I'm seriously going to lose my mind. What I'm hearing is that Disney is focused on their 3rd quarter which is the summer months (hence all those summer discounts). I know they need to fill their rooms and everything, but people who are used to seeing a fall promo out in early April are getting antsy. June-mid August is the "busy" season but I guess they didn't do too well last summer. I don't believe that because those parks were pretty pack in late June.

A lot of people over on those threads are saying that if a great discount isn't offered for the fall, they won't be going to Disney. Great! Less people in the parks for me to deal with! We're going no matter what, but a better discount is definately icing on the cake.

That is exactly what I keep saying! No matter with a discount or not I will be going! I have a set budget and am already in that amount with what we have booked! Now if Free Dining came out that would just be more money for the random things!

First of all, congrats on the great airfare! Isn't Southwest Great? I've never flown JetBlue, so I can't compare, but we've always felt we had good service on SW, and the prices can't be beat. Plus, they don't charge for luggage so that's good! Thanks for all the info about the RAC. That will definitely make things easier. I didn't really mind checking in my luggage myself, but it was always a hassle having to stop 24 hours before your flight, wherever you are, and go to guest services to have them check you in online. We usually forgot and ended up with lousy seats. This will work MUCH better!

I love playing around with different resort / promotions. Disney math is fun math. They should teach it in school. So, are you not already booked at Pop? Or are you waiting for whatever the fall promo will be? I'm keeping my eye on the Free dining threads as well. I'm really hoping for that. With the $300 we saved on airfare, my DH has said it doesn't matter if we have to pay for our own dining or not. We also have the $200 off our room with my pin code, so we're already saving something!!! FD would definately mean more spending money.

I'm happy with the prices we got with SW! I'm also glad to hear that the RAC will automatically check you in 24 hours before your flight. On the way home, I really don't care where we sit. As long as Maddie and I can sit together, that's really all that matters. I have heard wonderful things about SW and their customer service, so that puts me at ease. Plus, they have cute commercials!

We have our whole trip already booked with my 20% room only pin code. I called and added tickets and the DDP a few weeks ago. I wanted to be able to book CRT without getting my credit card charged! We will most likely stay at Pop unless the fall promo is something out of this world. We'll be there from Sept 22-29!

Guess what came in the mail yesterday.....my new Disney books! I wasn't expecting them until Monday (I was tracking them), so I was super surprised to see them in my mailbox yesterday. I got the 2010 edition of the UG and the color companion to the UG. Yes, I have the 2009 UG, but I LOVE Disney books! I could read it cover to cover and never get bored. I've only glanced through the color companion, but it looks good (and I've heard it's quite comical). I'm about to head outside into our 78 degree day (yup, 78 degress in Buffalo in APRIL!), let Madison play and I'm going to read and soak up the sun.
