I'm so happy I got all of my ADR's! I'm really hoping that we can get seated without waiting too long! Love the online system! It's awesome!!! :thumbsup2 I love her haircut too. :goodvibes

Don't worry, the fares WILL come down again. It might not be for a month or so but they will come down!

My dad and step-mom left for FLorida today. I'm so jealous. They won't be back for 2 weeks!

Tony actually called Southwest yesterday and they said that the $69 fares expired on Thursday at midnight. I just read on yahoo today that the best days to book airfare are Tues, Wed and Thurs because that's when the cheapest prices are out. I guess I'll have to keep that in mind!!! I'm going to keep checking both JetBlue and Southwest every few days. I like to keep my eyes on things!

Hi Meghan!!!

Madison's hair is just so cute now!! Didn't she have her FIRST haircut in January of last year @ The Barber Shop @ the MAgic Kingdom??

Worry not about your airfares - they will come down again! Tues-Thurs are the BEST days to book airfares! Try searching REALLY early in the morning or super late at night or during dinner time as though are time when people don't usually check very often so airlines drop the prices at those times! When we got airfare for this past trip I snagged the $59 o/w fare at about 11:30 on a Wednesday night!

Any word on when MNSSHP dates might be announced??

ps - posted an update on my TR!

Madison is really loving her new haircut. She looks so grown up! She did indeed have her very first haircut at the MK Barber Shop last year. I had never even trimmed it or anything! They only gave her a little trim, but it's all I could part with at the time!

I'm going to be watching those fares every single Tues-Thurs!!! I'm always online anyways!!! MNSSHP dates haven't been officially announced. I'm just going based on park hours. I'll be sure to head over to your TR!!!

Your ADRs look great, Meghan! :cheer2:
I hope Free Dining is announced soon!

Maddie's hair is just beautiful. princess:

Are you crazy looking for FD today, like me?? LOL!! :)

YES!!!! Even though I knew that wouldn't release it yesterday, I was up early looking anyways!!! I'm exhausted! I've been all over the codes threads and I'm starting to go a bit crazy!

Thanks! We're very happy with all of our ADR's. FD better come soon. I can't keep waking up so early every day!!!

Aw, thanks. She's really loving her haircut.

Aw! Madison's hair cut is just adorable!! :cutie: I'm so glad she likes it! And don't worry about flights--I'm sure they'll go up and down lots more between now and then. Hopefully as soon as FD is released, they'll come down, and it'll all work out perfectly! :thumbsup2

Thanks! Her ponytail is so short now, but it's adorable. She was excited about showing her new hair to her friends at school today.

I've settled down about the flight situation. I'm going to give them a quick check the next few days because I read that most airlines offer the best prices on Tues-Thurs. It's worth a try, right? It's not like we need to book airfare right away, but it would be nice to check it off my list.

No problem. :goodvibes My DH and I went out to lunch today and I couldn't stop talking about all the great places we'll be eating at in 6months! I'm really looking forward to all of the places we're eating...especially CRT! I can't wait to see inside the Castle.

Hello everyone. I have some updated info on our flights.

My DH, the constant negotiator, called SW the other day after I told him that flights went up. They gave him the guest relations #, but told him to call on Monday since they were closed (after 5pm). He tried numerous times yesterday, but the line was always busy. I checked the flights yesterday, and the flights we wanted were at $124 and $109. Yikes!

While on my break at work today, I got a text from Tony and it said that he got ahold of SW (finally). I have no idea what he said to the SW woman, but he got us our airfare for $69/person per way!!!! :cool1::banana::woohoo: I can't even believe it!!! I just checked the SW website, and most of the flights for our dates are at $74/way. $69 is still better!!! :cheer2: We didn't want to pay more than $650 roundtrip and we are WAY under that price. I'm so happy! I still wish we were flying JetBlue (I'm going to miss my tv), but I'm really happy with the price we got.

Oh my gosh!!! CONGRATS!!! That's awesome!! I'd kill for flights that cheap! Well, maybe not kill...
We had to pay $199 RT each for our upcoming trip and that was a deal for us. Our problem is that even though we're a hub for Delta (formerly Northwest) there's not any competition from hardly anyone else. They practically own the airport. We did get good flight times though.

yay for you!!!:yay: Cheap airfare always makes us soooo happy!!!

Thanks! I'm so excited. Saving money is the best!

Thanks!!! $199 roundtrip really wouldn't be a great deal from us, but you're a bit further from Orlando than we are. That stinks that there isn't a lot of competition where you are. I think around here, it's usually a battle between SW, JetBlue and maybe Airtran. You'll never see us taking Airtran. I think it's ridiculous that airlines are still charging for bags. I thought they only did that to cover the increase in fuel prices. Haven't they gone down?

I totally forgot about our flight times! They totally rock!!!! We leave BUF at 6:25am and land at MCO at 9am. HOORAY!!!! More time for us to spend at WDW. Then, our return flight leaves MCO at 6:45pm and we land in Buffalo at 9:20pm. Again, more time in WDW! We've never taken ME back to the airport. Doesn't the bus pick you up at your resort 3 hours before your flight? I just read on the resort boards that ALL resorts will be able to use the RAC for Southwest a bit later this year. :cool1: Also, they will automatically check you in for your flight 24 hours before take-off. Here's the info:

Here's the FAQ sheets and the schedule for the RAC rollout. It's not on the official letterhead and says nothing about confidentiality so, we're okay to pass this information on.

Anyways, here's the information that I can pass along. This jives with what I've known to be true and specific questions can be directed to the BAGS Info guest line located at the bottom of this post.

Resort Rollout Schedule

March 9th - Disney's Yacht and Beach Club Resorts and Disney's Boardwalk Resort

March 16th - Disney's Contemporary Resort, Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, and Disney's Polynesian Resort

March 30th - Disney's Port Orleans Resorts - Riverside and French Quarter

April 6th - Disney's Coronado Springs Resort and Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa

Rollouts for Disney's Old Key West Resort and Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort will be completed at a later date.

Southwest 24-Hour Check-In

The Resort Airline Check-In staff will process the 24-hour in advance check-in for all Southwest Guests as long as they have pre-registered at the Airport Welcome Center.

Will Southwest Guests receive their boarding passes to their resort room like other Resort Airline Check-In Express Guests?
Guests arriving to MCO utilizing DME will be pre-registered for RAC at the Welcome Center. Guests who are flying on eligible Southwest flights have the option with DME to sign up for RAC. These Guests will receive their boarding passes and temporary luggage tags at their room the morning of departure. The Welcome Center will have information fliers for Guests explaining the process.

What if a Guest does not elect to participate in pre-registration for RAC or does not come through the Welcome Center? Can they still utilize RAC?
Guests can utilize RAC on the morning of their departure to check-in for their flights and receive their boarding passes. They will not receive any documents in their room.

Southwest Airlines utilizes boarding groups for their flights rather then seat assignments. How does this impact the RAC process for pre-registered Guests?
For Guests who are pre-registered at the Welcome Center, RAC will automatically check Guests in for their flights 24 hours from their flight time. Boarding groups are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis by Southwest Airlines. RAC's automated check-in process does not guarantee a certain boarding group; however, the chances are the same as a Guest checking-in online.

At the Resorts, we have Southwest Guests who come to the Concierge Desk to check-in 24 hours prior to their flight. What should we do?
If the Guests have been pre-registered via the Welcome Center, they will be checked in by RAC and their boarding passes and temporary luggage tags will be delivered to their room the morning of their departure. For Guests who have not been checked-in via the Welcome Center, they are to follow the existing Front Desk process.

If I check-in a Guest on the Southwest website and they are re-registered for RAC, will it negatively impact the Guest's boarding group?
No, it will not. RAC's system automatically kicks off the check-in process 24 hours before flight time. If a Guest has completed the check-in online before the RAC system has completed the process, RAC will receive notification that the reservation has already been checked-in and it will receive the same boarding group that the Guest received. RAC will still send the printed boarding passes and temporary luggage tags to the Guest as planned. If boarding passes have already been printed out then they will receive duplicates on their door the morning of departure.

Can I add or delete luggage for the Guest via the Southwest website?
No, the Southwest website does not allow changes to the luggage; the site is for flight check-in only. If Guests have incorrect luggage totals and it is 48 hours prior to flight time, they may call the Service Center to add luggage documented with DME. Or, on the morning of departure when dropping theirs luggage off with RAC, they may add luggage to their reservation at the desk.

What if they receive too many temporary luggage tags?
Any unused temporary tags can be discarded. If not used, they are deleted from the airline system within a specific time before flight time (this is the case with all RAC airlines).

Does Southwest Airlines have baggage fees?
At this time, Southwest allows for passengers to fly without fees for two checked bags per ticketed passenger. Fees are assessed for overweight/oversized luggage and additional bags over two. Guests who need to pay fees follow the same process as all other RAC airlines and pay these fees at the Desk or to save time by calling Baggage Airline Guest Services at (407) 284-1231

I think that charging for checked baggage is here to stay...before Cont. only charged for the 2nd bag each person had...this last trip they charged us for allll the luggage!!! RIP OFF!!! So...if we get to go back when it's warmer (and we don't have to pack such a variety) I will try to get 2 or 3 carry-ons and 2 reg suitcases...we usually ship all the toiletries and snax down there...
I read somewhere last year, where people are Fed-Exing all their stuff, then they just rebox and ship it back home and it's a pretty good deal. Sounds great to me!! Then everything else will be in a backpack on the plane!!!

Wow, $69 each way is an amazing price!! We got $89 and I thought we got a bargain...and you live further from Disney than we do! :woohoo:

I do agree, we flew Delta which had some fun in flight games and things to keep us busy built into the headrests. But for the price, SW is a great airline...and the only one where you can take 2 bags for free! :thumbsup2
