We need a vacation. So my son wants to go to DisneyLand in 2003. I am looking at October. Since he has Asthma and hot weather is not the best for him.

I have a request for a quote in to Dreams. I have looked at quotes on Disney.

How much is food? Is it like WDW. My son went 2 years ago with my mom.

My plan do Disneyland in 2003 and a cruise in 2004 or 2005.

I just want to go to some DISNEY next year!

Do you mean Disney Land in California or Walt Disney World in Florida? I am not trying to be smart but there is a world of difference. (no pun intended, okay maybe just a little one :o )

If you do mean Disney Land, there is a specific board for it.

If you mean Disney World, October can be quite hot, upper 80's and 90's, especially hot for someone from the great frozen north.

I have never planned a vacation and I need to do it on a BUDGET!

I need help! I don't know where to start. I am looking at the end of October. That much I do know. So my son is only out of school 3 days not 5.

Other than that. I need lots of help!

Brewcitygirl,
I think DL is an excellant choice for a limited time and on a budget. You can have a top notch vacation without cutting any corners.

There is a ton of info on the DL board related to accomdations choices and everything else:

Try www.getawaytoday.org it is a super website with great deals. We used them last Oct. and had great service. They were really nice and got our stuff to us really fast. In fact, the only reason we made the trip was because I saw their site and could'nt pass it up! It was very last minute and I was VERY pleased! You will love DLR! I grew up near there, and DL is so much better than the MK! And despite what some people say, California Adventue was alot of fun! You must NOT miss Soaring Over California!!! It is the best (along with the Indiana Jones ride!!!) Have a great trip!:p

You can do disneyland pretty cheap in my opinion. My girlfriend and I go to disneyland probably about 20 times a year and we know a lot of ins and outs around the resort. Every now and then we will get a hotel in the area and make a weekend trip out of it. If you dont plan to stay in one of the hotels owned by disney it gets even cheaper. We have tried priceline a few times and we were able to get rooms at the marriott, about 4 blocks walking distnace away for 30 dollars a night, with taxes and everything it was about 40 a night. We also love the candy cane inn. This little motel is literally right next to disneyland, about 1 block to the entrance plaza of the DLR. It is beautifully landscaped and the staff is great. Last time I beleive this one was 69 a night with AAA. Food at disneyland tends to be the same price but I think you spend less because there are less sit down places. You find a majority of the sit down restaraunts in the hotels. In addition right across the street they have a few chain restaraunts that are very good (Mimi's cafe, Tony Romas). If you have any questions I would be willing to answer them, I think I have done most everything at DLR and in the area.
