DCuzs have offered me a weekend (Friday to Monday) staying with them at BCVHaven't seen some of them in 4-5 years. 2 couples (these are the ones I hadn't seen, in fact the younger has a partner whom I've not met), +1 DCuz with whom I've travelled with to WDW as recently as last March.
The pull was to see everyone, and I hesitated only because DCuz and I will be sharing the queen pull out. In the end, I went with my heart, and am going, got the plane ticket. I'm not a great "with a friend sleeper" neither is my DCuz. We shared a studio once, and didn't share the bed, but didn't sleep much either, for 3 nights. I don't think she requires much sleep. I have a few points, only 19 that I can borrow to make a reservation, and I know I can get a BWV studio for Sunday night. Would you be offended if your guest bailed out for the last night? Maybe some will say that I should just get my own reservation, but this vacation was not in our budget...I was invited and want to see my cousins!

My DCuz sometimes has been my guest, staying in the villa with me and others, sometimes we've gotten her her own studio, sometimes she's paid her own way, paying cash for her unit through Disney. I want to accept her hospitality, yet I also want us to be comfortable...the 1 night is really all I can swing for, do you think I should?

Get the studio. Tell them the truth. You are thrilled to spend some time with all of them and can't wait for the trip to begin. Since you just don't sleep well with another person in the room (and this has gotten worse as you age, lol), you got a room with your points at the BWV rather than miss the trip or subject your cuz to your sleeping issues.

It was fun sharing the Christmas tree, and DH and I really enjoyed the pecans.

We'll give a bottle a try! I've sent an e-mail to DCuz, mentioning my plan. Once I'm on vacation I relax, it's the planning that "gets" me. Really, this trip is about enjoying our time together! I'm overly concerned with my state of mind when I have to get up on Tuesday at 6 something for WORK!

Hi, it didn't take long for the waitlist to come through. I've the one night at BWV now. The waitlist came through on Saturday, I didn't call. HOWEVER, we have 6 home resorts, and I only had 2 that still had any '10 points and these needed to be borrowed for this reservation and in spite of the way I had asked to set up the waitlist they borrowed the points from the "wrong" home resort. I need my BWV points for a reservation that I still have to make.

I called just before MS closed on Saturday as soon as I noticed what had happened and Tonya couldn't help me directly, the points had to be adjusted manually. However, she left a note, and lo and behold when I checked last night, the BWV points were returned and the points were taken out of the VWL points as I requested. Thank you, Tonya

So, lots of times people ask if it's harder to manage your account when you have more contracts. We have 18-19 parts to our contract, and I do think it is a bit more complicated. This is not the first time points were used at the "less than 7 month" mark from the wrong contract number. Things have always been "fixed" but I've had to tell MS what had happened.

Glad you got on the waitlist anyway! Is there a way you could bring an Areo bed for either you ro the Dcuz? I would think that would be better than trying to share a bed.

I think we'll be OK now, since the Sunday night will have the alternate reservation. Neither she nor I check luggage. This is the first time anything like this (sharing a bed has come up). I'm finished worrying, and am psyched about seeing the family. Just learned that we'll be celebrating a birthday with dinner at the castle on the Friday night. That's a nice special way to begin the stay.

This will be a great trip...I can tell. The waitlist for BCV came through, so I'll be at the same resort as the family for that night that I have a studio.
