We bought AP's in May when we went to Disneyland for my DS 14th birthday. We decided that it would be worth it, since we would go the following spring break. (plus the onsite hotel deals and food discounts help too). We have been going to Disneyland at least once a year for the past several years (I grew up going to Anaheim to visit relatives and have visited the park hundreds of times). This last year, we did a bit of traveling - my dad took us to WDW in October (to celebrate our 21st wedding anniversary), then in March, we went to Washington DC, followed by the trip to Disneyland in May. Our last couple of disney trips (to disneyland) haven't been that great - it feels like something is missing. I have been sick the last two times we went (nasty cold), but it isn't just me that feels this way. DH said the same thing. We are concerned that we will feel unsatisfied when we return in March. In fact, my DH even suggested not going in March and vacationing elsewhere. Anybody have any ideas to spice it up? It will be myself (43), DH (42) and DS (14)

What I've been doing is finding completely new things to look for to get excited
about. For example I found a bunch of secret things to look for on the
attractions. Maybe you guys can do a family scavenger hunt :) you can find
some info on two threads; disney secrets and secret things to look
for on rides
.

This way, its still stays new when you look for things that you've never seen.

My Mother lived in Norwalk until she married my Dad and moved here to Washington. Her family members are all still down there so I grew up going to Disneyland every year. Then I took my own kids many times plus 4 trips with nieces and nephews. Disneyland started to loose it's "color" for me. I was so confused as to why. I love Disney. :goodvibes

My answer was to take five years off and start cruising (no Disney cruises). We love cruising and will continue to do so but now I am planning to take a nephew to Disneyland in June and have become quite excited. My suggestion is to take a break for awhile and try something new.
