Last year we took part on this character experince and we really liked it.
The Ice Cream itself was very very good and wounderful character interaction.

Why did they take it away???.

I call today and they said this activity is cancel.
Would you think they will reinstated at some point.

This was such a great place to relax a bit and enjoy an ice cream

and for that matter, I want the character breakfast brought back in the land.
Food was exceptional as were chip and dale.

my kids now teens still miss that breakfast so

I was disappointed to see the ICS cancelled too. It was a lower cost alternative to the Char. Meals. That's probably why they cancelled it!
We never had the opportunity to try this one.

We did this last May too and LOVED it! It was so great. . .we were hoping to do it in October. . . They should bring it back!!

Did this Ice Cream Social take place in The Land pavilion, where you used to eat the family style meal with Farmer Mickey? If this is where it was, maybe it was cancelled because of the refurbishments. Since they redid the restaurant there, (The Garden Grille) trying to make it more "upscale", maybe they decided it was too casual. That's too bad because it sounded like a really fun and different way to interact. Who wouldn't want to share some ice cream with Mickey?

We did it last January and it was the highlight of our trip. We decided to make it any "every trip" event. I hope they do bring it back. Is there anywhere to complain that will make a difference?

Yep I would like it back too. They canceled it when the shut down the Land for refurbishment.

I think it should come back too.

we have done lots of character meals, and really enjoyed this one because it was never as rushed as you feel at most character meals. It was much more laid back and it was always a nice break in the middle of your day.

I hope they bring this back in some form, even if they move it to another resturant,

Count me in. My DH was really disappointed to find out that they no longer do the ICS.

We were also disappointed to hear that this had been cancelled. We were hoping to do this this year since DD no longer has a problem tolerating dairy. I hope they bring it back!

We are bummed too. I was hoping to try this again. We have fond memories of the character interaction with Chip & Dale there in September of 2002.
