I am not sure a tripod would work. But some really big feet for better stabilization may.

I believe that I read it was made for a member of the Saudi royal family. I guess to get glass like that you have to be royalty. But, if they ever make it in a Pentax mount, that beast is mine

WOOH! NICE!! I wouldn't mind having that one too. Though I might need to bring the kids wagon to cart that around the parks. Would they let you on the Safari with a lens that big. They might give you your own jeep!

Did you see the spec's. Nice that it is an f/4 lens, but weighing in at 564 pounds. You'll need a trailer to cart that baby around. Or a 1/2 ton pickup with a built in tripod in the bed and a few friends to help mount it to the tripod.

With Canon's 1.6 crop factor: 2720mm film equilivent. Add a 1.4x converter to make it a 2380mm f/5.6, then with the crop factor the equilivent of 3803mm.

Mount that bad boy on the Empire State Building in NYC, point it south and you might be able to take some good pics of Wishes at the Magic Kingdom!!!

Tripod that cannon? No way. If you can afford one of those babies you'd have a custom flat bed truck mount or a fulltime schleppa sherpa.
