*Spoiler Alert* You will still want more when you get to 500 points. : DThis is going to be a problem. I'm on day two of becoming a DVC member and I've already exhausted my 200 points from my direct contract (and borrowed 64 from next year) and have purchased a 75 point resale contract. TWO DAYS!
There are only two of us but we do go to Disney 4 or 5 times a year. I feel like I won't be satisfied until I have like 500 points! Is there a 12 step program for this??
I'm learning this....the hard way lol. I am going to add on 50 more direct, I have a 75 point at Poly pending and a 50 pt at VGF resale pending. And just put in an offer on a stripped contract for poly.*Spoiler Alert* You will still want more when you get to 500 points. : D
I just ordered my Owner’s Locker this weekend! I’m going on a solo trip in about a week but I’m going to take down all of my daughter’s stuff to put inside since we’ll be back in July.More points, multiple trips and an Owner’s Locker is the key to happiness in my view! If you are going that many times a year you will really benefit from the Owner’s Locker first year promotion for DVC members where they will deliver / collect it as many times as you like during the first year for a flat fee.
You don't need a spreadsheet or program to justify buying, you just have to want it enoughI finally got tired of dealing with excel and wrote some python code to juggle multiple contracts/what if scenarios in an attempt to justify buying at both Poly 2 and CCV. Couldn't get there, unfortunately, unless we start going more often, and then I have this pesky problem called "work" to contend with. So back to the drawing board in terms of how to talk myself into getting what I want.
My mom has a zero point loss policy in place, so I have to figure out how to spend everything we have. She doesn’t want to be bothered renting out excess points. You don't need a spreadsheet or program to justify buying, you just have to want it enough![]()
You know, the CCV cabins are REALLY nice.My mom has a zero point loss policy in place, so I have to figure out how to spend everything we have. She doesn’t want to be bothered renting out excess points.
Rub it in why don’t you!!! Why do you think I want to buy at CCV???You know, the CCV cabins are REALLY nice.
If you were on the deed your Mom wouldn't have to worry about that right? My mom has a zero point loss policy in place, so I have to figure out how to spend everything we have. She doesn’t want to be bothered renting out excess points.
I'm at 200 at VGF and waiting for ROFR at Poly for 75 and I'm looking at my 2023 trip and realize I don't have enough points! I think 350 will eventually be my sweet spot. I may ad don 25 more to VGF but I want to wait for the new Poly tower for anything after that.
We're looking forward to getting our "new" Owner's Locker this weekend! It will save so much time and energy packing and repacking the basics. We got the AP discount during the winter.More points, multiple trips and an Owner’s Locker is the key to happiness in my view!
