I haven't listened since May... I tried a couple times, but I've almost been avoiding all of my old boards on the DIS. I've slowly been working my way back in and now I want to start listening to the show again. I miss it so much. I've been blah, and I realized the other day that I need more DIS! lol. I saw a quote that said, "I love my computer, all my friends live there!" It's sad, but true. ;) (come on you know you identify with me)

Should I:
A) Start with June 3rd and work my way to present.
B) Start with August 6th and work my way back to June 3rd.

Welcome back. :flower3: Definitely Plan B - that way you stay up with all the current information and then work your way back as you get caught up.

Did you quit listening because of Bob? I know it was really hard for me . . . and actually I still get sad. He added so much to the Roundtable.

Thanks for the advise, I think I might do that.
I'm not the type who cries a lot, but I got all misty when I read your reply. Yeah, I just couldn't get through a few minutes of the show without feeling gloomy. I think it made it worse that nobody around me in the "real" world knew what was going on. I told a couple people (like my DH) and they reacted the best they could, but they just couldn't get it. I was so sad and felt so silly at the same time. Here's this person who I've never met, but I was seriously mourning his loss. I know all of you guys were feeling the same way...

Hey Sconnell, you are not alone - I have only been listening again in the last two weeks. I had continued to download them to my ipod but couldn't bring myself to listen as it was too upsetting for me. I have been on the boards a lot since Bob's passing but after the initial condolence threads I turned into a lurker here as it felt strange.

I have now caught up on all the podcasts and although it is different - no one will ever replace Bawb - it is just as informative and fun, they are doing a great job. :thumbsup2

I hope you are able to listen and enjoy.

If it helps any, my thoughts were that I wasn't going to be able to heal from the loss of Bob if I also "lost" the other members of the podcast. By avoiding the podcast, it would be like losing six friends, not one. One loss was hard enough, I couldn't compound that.

What I love most is when Pete plays one of Bob's voice clips. It so nice to hear Bob's voice in the podcast.

Welcome back sconnell. How's everything in my favorite city?

I understand your feelings, but am glad you are back. I dealt with my feelings more like SamIam21. I felt more connected by continuing to listen and although there were times I listened with great sadness, there were also times I found myself smiling at such great 'Bawb' feelings that would come through the podcast. I am another one who absolutely loves the 'Bawbisms' clips that Pete plays, they always makes me chuckle.

Welcome back Sconnell! I missed that awesome picture in your siggie! :goodvibes

We definitely do understand here. I am so grateful to have old podcasts to listen to. It was
hard at first, but now I have Bob favorite shows that I listen to and they always cheer me up.

Have you listened to Bob Memorial Show? It's really wonderful to hear the crew talking
about their memories of Bob. The end always gets me though.
