I used to be a manicurist, Creative and OPI are better polishes IMHO. The consistency is better, they go on smoother. I also think they have better, more true colors.

Nail polish is one of my few concessions to being a girl - I have 3 hatboxes full of them! I like OPI, China Glaze, and Orly best...the last two I bought were Royal Rajah Ruby and Black Cherry Chutney from the OPI India collection (I prefer dark polishes - black, purple, blue, red/burgundy).

My favorite pink is an OPI called Suzy sells sushi by the seashore. It matches everything!!

Normally I agree with you - but Im really enjoying Essie's no frills colors - no shimmer, no frost, no light-catching pigment. I like Essie's *BAM* color, and thats it, lately.

I will agree with you that they tend to steer clear of the frost/metallics/shimmers etc.

I really wish Creative and OPI would do less frosty colors. Frosts show every imperfection.

I'm in the Mood for Love I thought would be too pink, but it looks good "on!"

I also like Lunch at the Delhi and ElePhantastic.

The Russian colors are dark! Oh my!

Another OPI girl here. I love the fact that they are always bringing out new color collections. And of course, whenever I get a pedi, I must buy a bottle of whatever color I have put on my toes (for touch-ups), so I have quite the polish collection...

Too sparkly. Although I do like the Soft Shades one Princesses Rule that is pink and sparkly.

In the Australia collection I like Didgeridoo Your Nails, Fair Dinkum Pinkum and Koala Berry.

Gotta go shopping!

From the Essie I liked the Click it or ticket for spring.

My all time favorite polish is OPI Maine-iac Mauve - it is too dark for springy, but it is perfect...seems to take on the color of what you're wearing, with a gold sheen on top of it.

Those India colors are incredible!

ETA - I looked up Maine-iac Mauve on the opi salon and it looks atrocious!! I promise - it's a classic beautiful color.
