I wanna buy a camcorder so....

I don't know which type I want. I was mostly looking for Sony and Canon as they are the companies I trust the most.

At first I wanted a camcorder that recorded on DVDs...but I'm not sure it's worth it.

I will probably end up wanting to do some montage in the end since I had editing classes as part of my bfa.

I don't have a DVD burner yet but I'm also planning on buying one, one day.

What do you guys suggest?

Is a mini-dv still good? Will I have to bring a thousand tapes? hehehe
