Oh Punk, hang around and you'll find that there are some really warped people here that would beg for that stuff. Well I'm orginally from the Chicago burbs and have lived in NC for four years. I've only been to Asheville once, this past December, and it was only for the purpose of going to Biltmore Estate which I absolutely LOVED!!

Sorry, couldn't resist. Sarcasm is my first response to most situations in life! Actually, I'm not sure if I will get to see it because of my 5 and 2 year olds. I don't really see my boy being able to control himself with all those priceless and irreplacable antiques that look so tantilizingly breakable.

Cool! I need help finding activities appropriate for youngsters. My 5 yo is very good, but my 2 yo can be a terror. Well terror is quite strong. Let's just say he likes to run off, likes to pick up stuff, likes to throw things - you know, a typical 2 yo boy.

They just won't have the patience for museums, art galleries etc. Come to think of it, I won't have the patience for those either (snooze-fest!).

Any suggestions?

I probably won't be much help there. I don't have kids. I was going to suggest this Ruby mine that is near there, the 5 year old would probably love it, but the 2 year old would probably just get hot and cranky.
