hi:wave:
well tonight i was in the middle of trying to get a picture succsesfully put on the bottom of my post when the phone rang::yes:: it was my eldest son charlie (he was 12 on sunday)crying because he had just had his new bike stolen while he was out riding with his friends:mad: they told that they had a knife and that he'd better get off and then they rode off

we did report it to the police but i doubt it will get us anywhere they must have so many reports of stolen bikes they proberbly just but it on file somewhere:rolleyes: me and my dh did drive around with the boys in the car but did'nt see anything i am soo annoyed but at least charlie is ok

sorry to rant eve::MinnieMo

Oh Eve, poor you (and poor Charlie!!) I remember my bike was stolen when I was a teenager and I was heartbroken for a while. But my goodness, to be told they had a knife! Thank Goodness he is okay.

Pixie dust for all of you:wizard:

Eve,

How awful:mad:
Unfortunately these things are par for the course for most teenagers now:earseek:
I live in a 'nice' area of London and have now lost count of the times my three (now 14,17 & 19) have been 'mugged' for something.
Every time it happens my DH gets really angry and upset and wants to move.But where to? Where can you go where other teenagers and even men think they can can just take something from someone by force because they want it and because basically they can:mad:

I hope your DS is feeling OK now,it is a shocking and scary thing to happen.

Poor Charlie :hug:

What a terrible thing to happen :(

P.S I love your piccie

O thats awful,what a terrible and annoying thing to happen.:mad:

:grouphug:
sending lots of pixie dust your way:wizard:

By the way i like your picture:D
:earsgirl:

:wave:

thank you all so much for your good wishes:D well last night went we drove around looking my dh was so wound up in a way i hoped that we didn't see them because dh would not have been able to hold his temper and then he would have been the one in trouble with the police,

kazzie,dh say's all the time about us moving but i'm afraid that don't solve the problem of others thinking that they can just take what is your's,it can and will happen where ever you live:rolleyes:

charlie is fine this morning::yes:: he was upset last night and he told me that he was scared but he seem's to be fine today,my mum and dad have given him £50 today which is half and we are going to give him the rest and go to get him the same bike today

thank you all again for your kind thoughts,

eve::MinnieMo

Eve

I'm really sorry to hear about this:( I hope charlie is ok:D

Have you heard anything from the police?

Michelle:wave:

Thank goodness Charlie is ok :eek:

I'm sure he'll feel happier when he has his new bike, but what an awful situation to be in.

:wave: michelle

no nothing yet only reported it last night :rolleyes:

yes charlie is fine :D dh has just come in from work and they are off soon to get another bike, altough i have to say i would rather he didn't go out on a bike for a while but what can you do when his mates are on on their bikes:rolleyes:

thank you for your kind concern:D

After reading that, and watching that program about the gang girls last night, i've been inspired with a new invention......A new type of bike seat, it is basicaly an adapted normal bike seat with a flick knife mounted in the middle, underside, pointing upwards, and hidden by the seat foam. This has a remote catch, that allows the victim to activate when the thief is making good their escape. It will render the thief unable to go to the toilet for the forseeable future !
Can I sign you up as my first customer ?

yes be my guest::yes::
on a serious note, i really wanted something to happen to those boys, i am not normally a violent person but it really annoyed me that they think they can take other people's property:mad: so yes i had very bad thought's that night::yes:: but at least my charlie is ok and now he has a new bike and he's happy:D

good invention by the way:D

hi

did you know the police have a thing going where you can get your bikes stamped with a machine. the put your post code on it. wouldnt stop it getting knicked but might enable it to be returned. just take it to your local police station.

love

lucy
