Yesterday I got a call from Starwoods promoting Vistana. I believe they said 4 nights for $149. Plus a $100 (non cash) credit of some sort. Of course you have to sit thru one of their promotions. DH did not want to do it. I asked her how often the shuttles run to WDW and she did not know and was looking it up. One of the reasons we are staying on grounds is because we dont want to deal with the shuttle times. But in any case what a great price that is!

Hi Bab31,
While that was a very nice deal, if you rely on Vistana's shuttles you won't be happy especially when comparing it to disney transportation. It's like apples and oranges.
Here is the shuttle service schedule at Vistana as I was told in August when I was there :
The shuttle service is as follows :
7:55 am
9 am
11 am
12 noon

then pick up later in day :
4:30 pm
6 pm
8 pm
9 pm
and at park closing

Hope this helps !

I received a call last week from Hilton Grand Vacations. They were offering me a 2 night stay for the price of my already reserved room at Hilton DTD on Nov. 4th. Of course, for 2 hours of our time... :rolleyes1

Talk about a day late and a dollar short! If I had more time to plan, I would have taken them up on it and added an extra day to our trip. Too late to change flights, etc now. :guilty:

Thanks for the shuttle times...I am glad we declined then! Not very many for the size of the resort. Our goal is to enjoy the parks but have time for ourselves as well. We dont want to rent a car and deal with traffic.

Saschab - doesnt it figure- must not have meant to be. Your vacation is coming up VERY fast, have a wonderful time!

I took Fairfield up on the offer - make sure that the tape included her promise if I call her to get the Bonnet Creek one.

$129 for 3 nights - I have my car and drive anyway (except to MK). she even promised a 2-bedroom - but I only want a 1-bedroom.

You can get super cheap theme park tickets too if you're willing to listen to timeshare hawkers..but..yuck! Our SIL loves doing this kind of thing to get the freebies... we can't stand it on the other hand..especially when we're on vacation!

We also turned down this deal because we had just gotten back from WDW and DH said there was no way he was not going back so soon. But the hotel stay was at a nearby Holiday Inn so I wasn't too thrilled about that. I guess it was for the best for us.
