i Tunes account help

I'm hoping you can help us. My ds14 has lost his ipod privileges for the last 2 mos until he brings his grades up. He just logged into his itunes library on our computer after all this time and sees it's completely blank!
Where did all of his music go? It didn't recognize him at all. He could log into "home sharing" but that still didn't bring up his old music.

I have an ipod too but never had this issue.

I'd appreciate any help you can offer.

Is he logged in under a different user account? My wife and I have separate user accounts on our iMac and each iTunes app has different music. Hope that helps.

Also make sure all software is up to date on the ipod as well as the computer operating system. I have had things go wonky when I was not up to date sometimes.

Well, he's definitely logged into his own user account. The ipod has a totally dead battery from sitting in my secret hiding place for 2 months so at 1st he was just charging it. He synched the ipod back to his itunes acct which saved the stuff he bought. Now he's reloading all the cd's back on. We still don't know what happened.

20 somethings might laugh but this is why dh & I are still old school and buy the cd instead of downloading.
