I've finally decided to take the plunge and get another tattoo. It's been designed now for over a year and I'm going to do it for my birthday! But I'm not sure where to put it, that's what I need help with.

The tattoo is going to be three stars, shaded in blue, outlined in black. They are slightly larger than a 1/2 dollar. Originally I had wanted to place them on my side, beginning under my right breast and wrapping around (if I lost some weight-which I haven't). I want them somewhere that can only be seen if I want them seen

Get it where you will be most happy with it. try taking a washable marker and drawing the stars in a couple different places. Thats what I started out doing and now I m working on a 1/2 sleeve(it works for me) also Id say dont get a tattoo in the summer (unless you dont swim) Good luck!

Upper right hip ... I say that because I'm a voice of experience. ;-) Hidden, but you can still see it when you shower, etc.

I like the upper thigh idea. A lot of people say upper thigh tattoos are trashy, but I've seen some very tasteful tattoos in that spot. I'd be pretty skeptical of the ribs/stomach/chest area because they can become soooooo distorted with even the slightest weight gain.

Oh, and I think you mean the ribs. If there's fat in any area, it wouldn't hurt much. The top 3 most painful places are the feet (which wasn't all that bad for me), the ribs/sides, and hands/face/neck.

I was thinking the hip, but I have a small heart on my left hip and felt three stars on my right hip would look "funny". I'm thinking of having them go over the heart and turning it into one of the stars. I also am considering my right thigh, at the "bend" when your sitting. I'll probably also ask the tattoer when I finally get the nerve to show up
