I tried on size 10 at Old Navy

Wow! Size 10 shorts at Old Navy fit me yesterday! I can't believe it!! The whole reason why I started this diet thing is because I couldn't get Old Navy size 12's over my big bum!!!!!

I am thrilled. I also added a new clippie!

I did end up getting the size 12 shorts because they were a bit more comfortable. I was thrilled to say the least & I couldn't believe that I actually liked the way I looked under those ugly flourescent lights in the dressing room. I will wear them today to make sure they still look okay. I will see my DH's recation. He's been very happy for me, extremely supportive & he even brought me flowers yesterday for no reason.

Wow! What a day I had.

Jomrog, you are doing so great! Not only are you sporting a new clippie (cool! gotta love it!), but you can fit into a size 10 shorts! I bet it felt so wonderful slide those shorts over your hips, zip them and marvel at yourself in the mirror! For me, even more so than seeing a drop in numbers on the scale, feeling myself get smaller and getting into smaller sizes is motivating! Congratulations!

Good for you! You'll be buying those 10s in just a few weeks! I love Old Navy!!! What a sweet husband you have too. Congratulations! That is really fantastic! I know you are savoring this moment, it almost feels like a dream, doesn't it? I think we get so used to the "old" us that it's hard to realize we are smaller and can fit into clothes more comfortably! Keep up the great work. These are the results that I live for - the scale may not always be our friend, but when you can try on clothes that wouldn't fit you or fit way too uncomfortably a while ago and buy them NOW and swish your tail around in them NOW, that is what counts!!!!!

Next time though, GET the smaller size, if you're still losing! It cuts down on having to buy so many clothes. (not that that's necessarily a BAD thing!! )

And I too hate those god awful fluorescent lights at Old Navy. You'd think they'd want lighting to flatter you to encourage buying more clothes! Oy!

What a great pick me up from DH! I bet it really made your day! I felt that way last year when I bought a size 8. I couldn't believe that they fit!. Well this year they don't, so I am working on it!

Karyn, I tried on the low-rise shorts (it seems like it's all they have at Old Navy) & I have a small waist. The 10's were tight in the thighs. I think I thinned out a bit in the his/butt (thank goodness!)

Thanks for the kind words. I do feel great. I am going to a girls night out tonight, hopefully people will notice. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

My next goal is to fit comfortably in those size 10's & head down to size 8. I have NEVER worn size 8. Even as a teen, I was in size 12 juniors so it is going to be a challenge. I'm ready to take it on though.
