I tried for 4 days, but I finally got my Illuminations Cruise! Now, where do I park?

I tried for four days straight and was almost about to give up hope, when I finally got into a "groove" and managed to get through! Hooray!! I've never seen any secrets about getting this shared before, but my secret was not to wait for all the messages. Just hit 4, 2, dial my phone number, hit pound, 1, and 1 again without waiting for the prompts. It worked today!!

It's a surprise for my husband. You see....he's just the best. He shells out $700. a month for my student loans becuase I wanted to be a lawyer. Now, I hate being a lawyer, so he's shelling out another lump of money to let me go to real estate school to be a Realtor. He's fantastic and really desreves something special. So, I tried and tried and today I got my cruise!!

I'm leaving out of the YC Marina. My question is this: can I valet park at YC? I know parking at other resorts is frowned upon and I have never, ever done it and would never, ever do it unless that was what I supposed to do for this event. My ideal choice would be to park at the Boardwalk and then head over to YC and then ask the driver to drop us back at the Boardwalk and spend the evening there. What is the transportation from YC to Boardwalk? Is it an easy trip? Can I park at YC and then just drive to the Boardwalk after the cruise? What should I do??

Park at YC. This is the place to park for the Illum. Cruises that leave form that dock... no problem at all.

There are VERY frequent boats that "bounce" directly from the YC/BC to and from Boardwalk (these are the same ones that go between EC and MGM) just read the posted signs on the dock... and have fun!

You will have no trouble at ALL "floating" between these resorts.

You canalso walk from the YC to the Boardwalk. It is a very pretty walk at night.

Thanks everyone! I wasn't sure what the proper etiquette was in this situation or what my travel options were. A walk sounds nice.....maybe park at the Boardwalk, take a boat to YC and then walk back to the Boardwalk after the cruise.

I'm so excited. I honestly thought I was going to have to come up with a different surprise because I never thought I'd get through. There IS hope! My advice is to call roughly 91 days before you leave to find out what day to start calling. Then, pick the very first day you're there and start calling for that day....then the next day, call for the next, etc. We arrive on Fri. night, so I started calling for Sat. night and then Sun., etc. and finally got the Wednesday. Thanks to these Boards, I knew how in demand they were and was able to figure out my strategy!
