I touch question?

I bought my DD an Itouch for Christmas yesterday. It was kind of last minute, but I thought she'd like it.

Now I'm looking for a case for it and I have no idea if it's a 3rd or 4th generation.. How do I find out?

If it helps I bought it yesterday at Target and it's an 8 g.

4g is probably the only variety available from Target. http://www.target.com/b?node=377175011

4g has a camera, and 3g doesn't, if that helps.

The best case I think is the otter box defender . Unfortunately it isn't available for touch 4 yet BOOOOO. I just got my ds8 what they had available at the apple store and he can't leave the house with it until the otter box comes out . Hopefully that will be soon.
