More importantly - May? - when are you guys going in May. Cynthia and I will be there from May 12th - 18th?

They haven't said when the mine ride will open just sometime in 2014. We are booked those exact same dates! We usually go earlier in May but we are hoping to be there for the first weekend of SWW. We would love to be able to see you again!

Riding at night is the BEST! I must do it at least once every trip (and usually more). It's definitely a must do! So glad you like the pictures!

Absolutely! I don't know if you'd be interested but when we were at Jelly Rolls Caitlin and I talked about how fun it would be to have a Dis Meet there Right now we are booked at Pop but that's tentative, I am waiting to see what TA rates come out for our dates.

Add in that Charlotte is hosting the National Park and Recreation Conference in Mid Oct and we have a no leave order from Sept until late in Oct. My annual conference is also late this year, like the 26 or so and in Vegas so I think it will be a DL trip this fall.

First time I may be missing F & W in well a long time.

So for 2014 I have Jan - there until the 4th , Very possibly Aug and then DL in Oct or early Nov.

I have an old shot of Pete's Dragon that I took back in the 80s, I always liked that float.

Your ride pictures are getting better with every trip. I really like the HHS pictures, it's so hard to get those photos. Great job also with the POTC figures as well. Mine always came out blurry, looked like Vaseline was on the lens!

It's the BEST float. I love it so much! And its a picture that usually always turns out!

Thanks Doris. I'm trying. I would love to be able to cross paths with some of the amazing photographers on this boards. How great would that be? To actually be able to get on a ride with them and have them give you pointers and actually take a few picture with your camera? I would LOVE that.

I'd love to get the Captain's Quarters scene in POTC but its just too dark. Michael is a Captain at the FD and I think it'd be so neat to frame it for him. I'll try again in 18 days!

Wow! I don't have much to comment on in this update other than to say you really don't have to be so humble regarding the picture-taking--some AMAZING shots in there! Between the sunset/dusk shots and the in-ride photos, which I've never been able to figure out, you got some great ones! We'll have to ride HM with you someday so we can get pointers on how to get one in focus!

I couldn't agree more. Plus, there is something really cool about seeing starbursts over your head. I just love that!

MEK, I had a wonderful Thanksgiving, especially since I didn't have to cook this year! I'm in the process of abdicating my role as cook for some holiday dinners. I will keep doing Christmas as the family loves the rib roast!

I can't get going on my TR since my laptop has crashed. The iPad is not the best way to do it since I can't easily cut & paste pictures. I will try to with the desktop if I can ever get the DH away from it!

I was hoping for a soft opening of the mine train in December, but I doubt that is going to happen. At first that was going to be okay, because I figured I'd catch it in March. Now that we have cancelled March, it will be July before we go next, which means 50,000,000 people get to ride it before we do. Life is so not fair.

I enjoyed the time in Magic Kingdom this morning before I head out to work. Thanks for giving me a bit of happiness to carry me through the day.

Your are so right! I honestly didn't realize it would be open that soon. So I really have a chance of riding it in May? That is awesome because I figured I wouldn't be riding it until October.

One of these days, I'm going to go on Character's in Flight. I see the balloon, and each time I kick myself that I haven't done it yet!

We're thinking of stopping at Splitsville in January, so I'll let you know if we go and how it is! My Dad LOVES to bowl, so I figured it would be a good addition to the trip.

People can shout "we wants the redhead" at me now!

We walked past Splitsville which seems like a really cool place and I've heard they have great food, so its on the bucket list!

It looks like a nice place. I still just can't bring myself to go bowling when I'm at Disney World. I can do that anytime, anywhere.

I just love this holographic. I wish they had them throughout the entire ride. It really sets the tone.

It really is a neat effect.

Our next stop was BTMMR, where we watched the fireworks. Honestly, riding BTMMR and watching the fireworks is one of my favorite things to do.

Always a goal of mine if I have a couple of evenings in the MK. Of course you have to just stand and enjoy Wishes one night, but if I get a chance to come back another night, I'm heading to Frontierland!

I know I've said this MANY times, but I absolutely love to ride BTMMR at night! It's the best ever! What a great ride! Love it!
