I Told You Driving Was Bad For Your Health! *2/2* NEW TRIP REPORT LINK P102

I thought I had time for all replies, but it appears I have run out....boo!

How fun to meet up with Kathy. She is on my "want to meet" list too! :thumbsup2
I always say I want to go to the outlets, mostly for a disney outlet, but haven't been lucky enough yet to get there. Never enough time. I will need to put that back on the list if I can work trip in this year yet.

How fun, that you got to meet up with Kathy! I have a Cape May breakfast on the books for next week...we'll see if Simba cooperates. I hope he does, because I LOVE Disney breakfast buffets. Oh, the Mickey waffles! :thumbsup2

The shrine looks really neat, and I love the idea of a 20-minute mass! ;)

A nice, relaxed day!

I kind of had a feeling you'd be posting about a meet up with Kathy... you know, since I already saw it on her TR. :rolleyes1 :lmao:

I've got to make sure DW never finds out that there is a Vera Bradley outlet there. I'm not wasting Disney time there!!!! :rotfl2::rotfl:

I'm glad you were able to head over and check out the church. :thumbsup2

What a fun meet with Mary, the girls and Kathy! We met Mary, Avery and Cayley at my very first DisMeet several years ago. They've grown so much since then.

I don't know that I would be able to refrain myself in a Vera Bradley outlet. For many years now, Lacey has gotten at least one or two Vera Bradley items for Christmas. The little cardholders and ID holders are my favorites because they slip right into your pocket while on vacation.

The pictures of the church are beautiful. How neat that you were able to go in and take pictures of both the church and the museum. I think that my favorite is the one of the young person kneeling in the pews.

Looks like you had a nice, relaxing day! So glad you got to finally meet Kathy. She's a lot of fun for a Blackhawks fan.

Ok, I am officially swearing you to secrecy on the Vera Bradley outlet whenever we have a Delaware DIS-get-together. If my DW knew that place existed we'd never get out of there. All of our Park Hoppers would be wasted. So no blabbing! It does not exist! :rotfl:

Could be worse; I could be an Eagles fan! :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Hey, does that mean I can tell your DW about the one in Chicago?

Finally back home after a long weekend of driving through the mountains with my folks.

I hope you had a nice weekend. Were you affected by any of the folding around the Bolder area? That's all I hear about on the news. I heard some folks are finally being allowed back to their homes.

I've always wanted to know what the inside of the church (but feared a lightening strike!). What a great day!

Jill in CO

:rotfl2: Oh brother! I know you can't be that bad! :rotfl2: I used to have church phobia. Now I'm just the opposite. Go figure!

Cape May is a favorite of ours. ::yes::

It's really a fun restaurant, isn't it? I love eating there every few trips.

Yay for getting to meet up with all the girls!

I'm so glad we got to arrange a meet. It was great to meet Kathy and see Mary and the girls again. :thumbsup2

I'm loving all the pictures with palm trees.

You can never have too many palm trees, can you? I don't think so! :rotfl: :rotfl:

That was a lovely church building. I'm glad you took the time to get and share pictures.

It's a beautiful church and I'm glad we stop and looked around. Glad you enjoyed the pictures!

Yay! A KatMark meeting!!!!

:cool1::woohoo::yay: It was so fun meeting Kathy! She rocks! And I loved seeing Mary and the girls again.

Glad that you guys had a great time, even if you were a little squished in the bench seat.

We really did. Definitely worth being squished a bit! It was a great morning!

Aaaaahhh, yes. I love that outlet mall. I have shopped there many times before. Not at VB, but just at the mall in general. I like to shop. If that is surprising at all. :lmao:

:rotfl2: Seriously, who DOESN'T like to shop? Me Me Me! There is something fun about shopping on vacation. I actually am looking forward to going back next month!

I don't know if you have been before, but you should definitely go to Italy. If you're a fan of churches and iconography and such, it would be like heaven. If you've been, then you know. ;)

Italy sounds amazing. My uncle has gone quite a few times. I would absolutely love that. I bet the churches are fabulous. I would love to see the Sistine chapel although I heard its really HOT in there. (or did I make that up?)

How fun to meet up with Kathy. She is on my "want to meet" list too! :thumbsup2

She is probably on everyone's "must meet" list! She is so lovely in person. It was great to meet her and see Mary and the girls again.

I always say I want to go to the outlets, mostly for a disney outlet, but haven't been lucky enough yet to get there. Never enough time. I will need to put that back on the list if I can work trip in this year yet.

This is my first time visiting after almost entirely on-site trips. I have to admit, when I am on site the idea of leaving the bubble is so much less appealing. This trip seemed like the perfect time to do it!

How fun, that you got to meet up with Kathy! I have a Cape May breakfast on the books for next week...we'll see if Simba cooperates. I hope he does, because I LOVE Disney breakfast buffets. Oh, the Mickey waffles! :thumbsup2

I was so thrilled to get to meet Kathy and to see Mary and the girls again. Cape May is a really fun breakfast. I know Simba's a little too young to appreciate it so I hope he does cooperate. It's one of my favorite buffets because of the salmon. I LOVE that! Oh yeah - and the Mickey Waffles, too!

The shrine looks really neat, and I love the idea of a 20-minute mass! ;)

The shrine was beautiful and I'm so glad we saw it. I may have exaggerated on the mass - it may have actually been 22 minutes.

A nice, relaxed day!

It really was! It really felt like vacation!

I kind of had a feeling you'd be posting about a meet up with Kathy... you know, since I already saw it on her TR. :rolleyes1 :lmao:

Very observant of you! :rotfl2: I got a good chuckle of that. Thanks! It really was so fun to meet Kathy. Definitely a highlight!

I've got to make sure DW never finds out that there is a Vera Bradley outlet there. I'm not wasting Disney time there!!!! :rotfl2::rotfl:

I promise! I will never tell! Of course, someday she may figure it out on your own. :rolleyes1 Be prepared for that!

I'm glad you were able to head over and check out the church. :thumbsup2

So am I. The church was lovely. I have been wanting to see it for awhile, so the timing worked out perfectly. :thumbsup2

What a fun meet with Mary, the girls and Kathy! We met Mary, Avery and Cayley at my very first DisMeet several years ago. They've grown so much since then.

It was a great meet. I'm so glad we were able to work it out.

I know that Avery and Cayley have both grown so much since I first saw their pictures. They are adorable little girls and they are so, so sweet!

I don't know that I would be able to refrain myself in a Vera Bradley outlet. For many years now, Lacey has gotten at least one or two Vera Bradley items for Christmas. The little cardholders and ID holders are my favorites because they slip right into your pocket while on vacation.

That outlet was pretty well stocked. There was A LOT to look at. It's really not far from property and since you drive, you might want to check it out next trip. Just sayin! :rolleyes1

The pictures of the church are beautiful. How neat that you were able to go in and take pictures of both the church and the museum. I think that my favorite is the one of the young person kneeling in the pews.

I was very happy that we were able to go in and look around. There was a lot more to see than what I expected.

I agree - that last picture was very moving! It was really well done.

Looks like you had a nice, relaxing day! So glad you got to finally meet Kathy. She's a lot of fun for a Blackhawks fan.

:rotfl2: Yes - She IS a lot of fun! I am so happy that our paths finally crossed! :thumbsup2

Ok, I am officially swearing you to secrecy on the Vera Bradley outlet whenever we have a Delaware DIS-get-together. If my DW knew that place existed we'd never get out of there. All of our Park Hoppers would be wasted. So no blabbing! It does not exist! :rotfl:

So, in other words - no Facebook posts when I go to shop there next month. Hmmmmm - What's it worth to you? I'm not above a bribe. :rotfl:

Could be worse; I could be an Eagles fan! :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Ouch! Burn! Am I going to have to separate you two? popcorn::

Hey, does that mean I can tell your DW about the one in Chicago?

 :rotfl2:

Could be worse; I could be an Eagles fan!

Go Chiefs! ;)

See what you did Mark? You've hijacked this into a football thread. :lmao:

I'll forgive you! But don't let it happen again! ;)

Luckily I personally had no ill effects from the flooding. The folks in the foothills had the worst of the impact. We did drive up to Estes Park after they got one of the roads open. They are cleaning up but open for business!

I did go to the Vatican without bursting into flames....maybe I'm ok. :)

So glad that you didn't have any flood effects. Also glad to hear that businesses are opening back up as the roads open up. I just can't imagine that degree of devastation.

:lmao: Yup. I think you passed if you made it inside the Vatican. You're safe!

Love reading about DIS meets :goodvibes

I've never heard about this church before. It's gorgeous! You would absolutely LOVE the missions over here in CA. There is a Mission Trail (I think there are 20 of them, could be less) and it goes from San Diego to San Francisco. I've only been to handful of them but they are pretty amazing.

Also, love the overnight VB bag :thumbsup2

Could be worse; I could be an Eagles fan! :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Being an Eagles fan builds character. We'll check in again after the Bears begin their annual November losing streak.

Hey, does that mean I can tell your DW about the one in Chicago?

But that would mean we could never come back to Chicago.

Could be worse; I could be an Eagles fan!

Go Chiefs! ;)

Jill in CO

:sad2:

Now that wound is still fresh. I knew our offense was unorthodox, but I never dreamed the game plan would be "Hand the ball over to the Chiefs as much as humanly possible."

ISo, in other words - no Facebook posts when I go to shop there next month. Hmmmmm - What's it worth to you? I'm not above a bribe. :rotfl:

I know her password. I'll just block your page from her account. That's cheaper. :rotfl2:

We're never above Cantwell's Tavern meet-ups, though...

Ouch! Burn! Am I going to have to separate you two? popcorn::

Nah. She's gloating now, but sooner or later Philadelphia will have its vengeance.

I just hope I'm alive to see it.

:woohoo: My work is done here!

If the D stays healthy, we might not be too bad in November.

Oh well! :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2: Okay, I'll keep quiet...only because I like your kids.

I really have nothing against the Bears. And they appear to be much closer to the postseason than my Eagles. Now if you were a Cowboys fan...:sad2:

No, you didn't make that up. It's very hot in there because there are always lots of people in there at one time. It was especially hot when we went, but only because it was cold and rainy outside, and we were all soaked inside, so it created some kind of bizarre, sticky, damp, sweaty environment. :lmao:

Aren't they great? You just had one with Pam recently, did you not? :thumbsup2

I've heard a lot about it. I think I followed a TR for awhile where the writer and her family went to mass every time they traveled to WDW. She would always mention it.

That Mission Trail sounds amazing. I would absolutely LOVE that. You got that right! Wow - I had no idea. Just another reason why I need to plan a west coast trip. (It's in the works for Spring 2015!)

Also, love the overnight VB bag :thumbsup2

Thanks. I love it. I actually want to get one just a tad smaller to take for my overnights at work. :thumbsup2

Ouch! Another burn!

But that would mean we could never come back to Chicago.

MUCH cheaper, but so not right!

We're never above Cantwell's Tavern meet-ups, though...

I would love to meet there. I love that place! Say the word man. I'm there! Lunch? Dinner? Let's do it!

Nah. She's gloating now, but sooner or later Philadelphia will have its vengeance.

I just hope I'm alive to see it.

Me too! Me too!

:woohoo: My work is done here!

Yes, it is! And you earned a little OT too!

Oh well! :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2: Okay, I'll keep quiet...only because I like your kids.

That's right Kathy - do it for the kiddos because they are pretty darn cute!

I really have nothing against the Bears. And they appear to be much closer to the postseason than my Eagles. Now if you were a Cowboys fan...:sad2:

Alert: Any cowboy fans out there - cover your ears!

So it WAS you that told me that! I knew I had read it recently and it sounds very unpleasant. I bet the smell was pretty unpleasant too!

Such cute ducks! But yes, the rules are there for a reason. And yes... not everyone likes to be told the rules.

I have never been to the Plaza. That will change come January.... I love burgers...and yours looked pretty good. :goodvibes

I love the balloon pics. Do you know in all of my trips, I have only a single balloon picture taken with my then 5 year old son? He had moved the air from one ear to another and so the shape was all distorted. That happens to be my ONLY time I took a picture than included a balloon.

Your adult bevie looks quite good. So your TIW card worked at the lounge? I am seriously considering the TIW card over the dp for our january trip. Things like being able to get a drink in say the lounge would help to tip the scales a tad.

I love seeing all your pictures. I love that you take "random" shots of people. (like the ugly back pack) My family thinks I am horrid when I want to do things like that. Like I somehow violate that person..

I love that you ran! My poor dh about lost his mind when we were out of town last month and I wanted to run (god forbid) by myself. He knows how safe we are here.... and I think he just feels like we are in some super secret bubble that the rest of the world doesn't know about.

I am glad you stopped at the shrine too so that you could give a recap! So pretty!

Very cool you got to meet Kathy and spend time with her, Mary and the girls!!
