I Told You Driving Was Bad For Your Health! *2/2* NEW TRIP REPORT LINK P102

I am glad to hear that your new job is one that you like. :thumbsup2

And that TA AAA thing sounds pretty interesting. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you.

I just LOVED all the photos in your update. So beautiful and so different. I guess one day we have to visit HHI. ;)

Ah, the visit that should not have had to happen on vacation is next. So sorry it happened, but so glad you were so insistant and got it all worked out. :goodvibes

I just love how this is not a disney vacation, but is! (even if you have to do the disney activity alone ;))

I am sorry your next place you end up is not where you would want. What a horrible thing to have to go through on vacation!!!

So glad you are liking your new job and glad you are back with patients. Being a clinician means that is where you want to be! You didn't pick administrative duties like those of us that are insane and apparently enjoy high levels of stress and feeling like elementary school teachers OR professional referees! :rotfl:

The AAA thing sounds wonderful, exciting and perfect for you!!! I am so thrilled about the new job and that despite the technology curve you are back with patients doing what you love and are so gifted at.

Beets, squash soup and I could have been your sommelier? All of my most favorite things!!! gah, torture me! I wish, it looks so beautiful and what a lovely lovely dinner.

I love that you made yourself a beverage and went to the movie. I don't love what is coming next.

Enjoyed your update! Great pictures. I love your pictures of pictures. They are fantastic.

The tiles are really neat.

Your meals all looked and sounded delish! It's nice that you were able to follow up your early dinner with some browsing, scamming and a beverage and movie.

Sad about your next update!

Is it the Best Western Premier Saratoga Resort Villas???

No! Changing my guess to Polynesian Isles Resort!

Was gonna say Polynesian Isles Resort but Glennbo123 beat me to it!

Beat me to it too. Actually had it before I asked my last question but wanted to put it out there.

Being at a DISmeet with troublesome internet service prevented me from seeing the response and then being able to put my guess out there. :headache:

Now onto the update. HHI island looks just so peaceful and wonderful.

Dinner does sound amazing but your last picture says so much.

I always find the beach so relaxing. It was always my go to place as a teen when teen angst was happening. So great to be calmed by the waves.

Yes - We Have a Winner!

Glen is correct - we stayed at the Polynesia Isles Resort in Kissimmee. It is a Diamond Resort Timeshare. We stayed at a Diamond Resort in Williamsburg, so we felt pretty comfortable with the costumer service. That and the sold reviews on trip advisor sold it for me.

I really endorse this resort. It's not a Disney resort and it doesn't have all the bells and whistles, but we had tons of room and the units are all remodeled. Plus, for an off site location is was excellent. Turned out to be a great alternative for a budget trip.

Glen - please pm me you address so I can get you prize in the mail. Pat and Bill - I know you were right on his tail.

I hope to get to replies later today. My nephews were here this weekend and we had a party to attend, so things were a tad hectic.

Happy Monday!

Well, I was right. I don't know nearly enough about the non-Disney resorts and the area outside of the Disney dome (even though I do actually have family that lives in Kissimmee that we visit).:rotfl2: Congrats on the win Glenn. :thumbsup2

I'm glad that the new job is going well. I understand what you mean about just being a little overwhelmed and having a bit of a learning curve, but I'm glad that you enjoy what you're doing! The AAA thing sounds like a great opportunity. I hope that it works out for you!

I can't blame you a bit for all the odd looking tree pictures. Something just fascinating about how some of those old trees got their shape. Only in nature...

Ohh, too late for the contest, but I did get from your clues it was Polynesian Isles! We passed by there every morning to the parks when we were staying at the Wyndham Cypress Palms. Nice!

Sounds like a good meal! Especially that dessert, oh my goodness! That looks delicious. Not looking forward to the next update. :(

An Early Warning & An Amazing Dinner

First, I would like to say that I am sorry to be such a slacker with this TR. As most of you know, I started my new job last week. So far it is going well, but new jobs take a lot of energy. Even though I am very comfortable with the type of patients I am caring for, the service is MUCH larger and more fragmented. Certain procedures are different and most documentation and order entry is computer based. In my former position I worked for a financially strapped health care institution that did not have computer order entry and documentation, so there is a learning curve for me and it took me until Friday to get all of my computer access.

Thank you all for the well wishes. I really appreciate it. My last few months at my former job were really depressing in ways I couldn't even articulate. I wasn't working with patients anymore. Basically I was assigned some administrative type stuff and I had to clean out and close down the program. Going to work was really a drag. So, its nice to work with patients again because that's really what I like to do.

I also want to mention (I hope I can mention this, but if I can't I apologize in advance to the mods and will delete post if necessary ). This spring I saw an add in my AAA magazine for a newly created position through midatlantic AAA. It's called a Disney Magic Creator. I attended an information session here in Delaware last month. It is basically a commission only casual position booking Disney trips. They are going to select 20 - 25 people in the midatlantic region to kick it off.

There were about 80 people at the information session. They broke us into groups and asked us some screening type conversational questions basically to decide who they want to interview formally. Well, I did get contacted for an interview which I have set up for Tuesday evening. I know this is probably not the ideal time for me to take on another venture, but I really see this as a cool opportunity. I just can't pass it up even if it means less DIS time and more work at home.

This program is pretty innovative, IMHO, and is only available for midatlantic AAA zip codes. If selected I will need to book a certain dollar value of Disney trips in a calendar year, limited to my AAA area, and create my own client base. Most of the training is on line. I will also be assigned an AAA agent as my mentor.

I'm pretty excited about this and hope I get selected and hope I can pull it off. I am constantly approached by friends and coworkers with requests for Disney trip help. this just seems like a logical extension and a way to make a little spending money. We shall see.

Real Update in the Next Post.......

It's good to hear that you are enjoying your new job. I know that changing over to any new job is a bit stressful but you are getting to do what you like to do and that's see patients.

Yay for the potential AAA travel agent position! Like you, I've helped a lot of folks plan their Disney trips and never have I gotten compensated for it. I would love to become an agent some day. I'm betting that you'd be really really good at it and would get your client base in no time.

Yes - We Have a Winner!

Glen is correct - we stayed at the Polynesia Isles Resort in Kissimmee.

:cool1::yay::banana: Fun game Mary Ellen! Thanks!

I thought that Pat had it way back when she was narrowing-down the address, but then I saw how many different resorts there are between those two highways. I definitely needed more clues.

:headache:

Sorry Bill and Pat. Going to an early church service helped me. I came home and saw the last clue I needed to put it together. :)

Big hugs for you while you adjust to your new job and all the life changes. The AAA thing sounds awesome, be sure to keep us posted.

I'm really enjoying your updates and seeing what this resort and surrounding area has to offer. :goodvibes

Okay...I'm all caught up now. Pictures are beautiful as always.

I should be able to stay on top of things now.

Hope the new job is going well.

I had good intentions for replies tonight, but instead I am reading other TRs. ;)

Good luck on the AAA Disney gig. Sounds like fun! Working from Disney at home can't feel like work. Probably will feel like it does here. :cloud9:

Dinner looks fabulous and no, you cannot turn down homemade dessert. It's some sort of sacrilege I'm sure of it.

Love the Atlantic Coast. It looks so different from the West Coast.

Heartburn. :(

Glad the new job is going well. The learning curve is no fun but I'm sure you'll be up to speed in no time. It's nice to be with the patients too. I hate all the paperwork that has now accompanied what use to be a patient focused field.

Congrats to Glen for his great detective work! :thumbsup2

Glad to hear that you are enjoying working with patients once again instead of shutting down a program. Sure makes it nicer to look forward to going to work each day when it's something you love. :) The Magic Creator job sounds perfect for you. I wish you all the best tomorrow night with your interview. Please feel free to share that you have about 500 people that will give you a great reference from the DisBoards!!

Moving on to your updates.... the ceramic tiles at the villa are so beautiful. :) I loved those.

Dinner at Vine looked tasty. I completely get not wanting the 9pm dinner because by that hour I would have already snacked my way to a meal. Sounds like it worked out well. (other than missing your personal wine steward! ;))

Ugh! Already thinking this is no bueno with your next update. :sad2:
