I Told You Driving Was Bad For Your Health! *2/2* NEW TRIP REPORT LINK P102

Lots of tremendous photos!

Mmm, those bottles of BBQ sauce look/sound delicious!

Pet toilets?!:rotfl:

Really enjoyed this TR. Can't wait for the next one!

I liked your little orb in your pics.

So, I'm not crazy right? That IS an orb. My son didn't believe me until he looked at about 10 pictures. Then he said maybe it "wasn't sun glare". :rolleyes1

A few years ago Disney had a discount code of 40% off to stay at HHI or The other one in Florida. I wish we would of used it, but we only had 2 days. We used the discount to stay at The Beach Club. Some day.

Well, I can't say I blame you for using it at the Beach Club. Both HHI and Vero are great resorts. I think the problem is that the lure of WDW is too strong. You have to really be in the mood for a beach vacation. HHI has the advantage that its driveable from my house. I always fly to WDW. Then if I'm going to fly I'm probably going to stay at WDW and not Vero. Here I go rambling again. :rotfl:

Thank you for sharing.

Thanks for joining in. Stick around because next I am just going to move right into my June WDW trip! :goodvibes

But did you buy it?

Yup - It's sitting in my driveway waiting for its makeover. Come on over and I'll give you a tour! :rotfl2:

Target practice?:confused3

That would work! :rotfl:

There's always room for one more...

In that graveyard - I don't think so. It was pretty packed. Very eery.

I really like the rustic feel there.

Such a great resort. You should consider it for one of your trips. I'm not sure how crowded it is in the summer, but I think your kids would love it there. Then again, after Hawaii - well, you are going to have a hard time topping that. :rotfl2:

Such a beautiful city! Great pictures.

Thanks. I was disappointed our visit was so short. I really need to go back there and do a proper visit. Some day!

We had thought about stopping there but ended up at the Chucktown Tavern with the stuffed burgers instead. Sorry you weren't too high on your meal.

Gee - burgers? That's a surprise! :rotfl2: I bet they were really good, too!

:woohoo: You never sausage a place! :thumbsup2

:faint:

Couldn't help but notice that you didn't have another meal there, though. :scratchin :rotfl:

Nope. No meal! Even if I had been hungry, once at Pedro's cafe is enough. :rolleyes1

Despite the health scare I'm so glad you had a fantastic trip. Now I'm hoping you're working the car as a clot maker to your advantage :rolleyes1

Oh - you know I have! I don't think there's any chance that Denny will ever suggest driving to Florida again! In fact, he's the one who decided on flying in June. But more on that with my next update!

How sad that bakery was closed! I love love love freshly made baked goods. Too bad your lunch choice was lackluster. One mustn't start being good until the vacation is over, unless you're in your villa making something yourself. I hope you've learned your lesson :rotfl:

Seriously Pam - that red velvet cheesecake that I had there on my girl's trip was SO fantastic. I wanted to eat there SO bad and was SO bummed it was closed. Lesson learned - Do not visit Charleston on Sunday morning.

As far as the lunch choice - we were originally supposed to go to Charleston on Friday and meet my TA. She was supposed to pick the lunch spot, so I had done NO research. It definitely showed. :rotfl:

You've seriously gotten me rethinking my birthday trip next year. Thank you for the wonderful TR and gorgeous pictures :)

I really think you would love it there. It's definitely a different type of vacation, but in a good way. I met a few people in HHI who were from PA who flew into Savannah and rented a car. That's probably the best option is you want to fly.

Thank you so much for sharing! I knew I wanted to go to HII, but now I know I MUST go to HHI!

I'm glad you are now sure its a vacation destination you want to visit. I haven't traveled all over the country, but for the places I have seen I have to say that the entire low country is just so unique. If its wasn't for DVC I probably would not have traveled to HHI. I'm so glad I did and I'm so happy to have discovered a vacation spot that I want to visit multiple times.

Love the orb pics, btw... even if they freak me out just a tad. :goodvibes

AT first Nicholas told me it was sun glare, but as he looked at more pictures he finely decided it could indeed be an orb.

Loved all of the pictures, makes me want to do the same trip! Now my decision is going there or to the southwest next year!

So glad you enjoyed this portion of the TR and the pictures. Sometimes it such a hard choice to decide where to go next, isn't it? Wouldn't it be great if you could do both? ;)

I've seen lots of those bottle trees, I want my DH to make one for me. I think they are a cool way to recycle the colored wine bottles. I read an article in the newspaper a couple of days ago that the bottle tres were common in parts of the south. The trees are guards against witches, sort of like witches balls. The witches get trapped the balls or bottles & can't enter the house.

That totally makes sense. Especially since there are reportedly so many ghosts in that area. Very cool! I'm so glad you knew that. See - you really DO learn something new every day!

Lots of tremendous photos!

Thank you! I had so much fun taking photos of the low country. Such an amazing area!

Mmm, those bottles of BBQ sauce look/sound delicious!

We have had a lot of fun trying them this summer. :thumbsup2

Pet toilets?!:rotfl:

I know, right? I never looked in there. But what kind of toilet could they possibly have for a dog? :rotfl:

Really enjoyed this TR. Can't wait for the next one!

Thanks!

I am going to start the next TR right here. So stay tuned for our WDW adventures!

Really not sure what one would do with this

Look - I think it's multiplying

Yard art! I actually could see those being cool in the right setting. In fact it gave me an idea..

Ok, I am VERY curious to here how the clot theory of Denny's plays into the WDW trip...

I rather liked some of your orb pictures!

I love reading your TR's, Mary Ellen. With all your pictures I feel like I was right there with you.

Loved seeing all the orbs in your pictures. People say they are fractions of light or dust, but I know better. Although I'm more inclined to believe they are angels rather than the other supernatural. :littleangel:

The pictures you took before getting on the road were beyond beautiful. :) I especially like the iron work. :thumbsup2

Sorry your sandwich wasn't very good, I hate it when our expectations aren't met, especially for those of us who try to really watch what we put into our bodies. If it's terrible we've wasted all those precious calories for a lousy meal. :worried:

It's usually the places the locals go to and rave about (that aren't meant for the tourists) that seem to work out best, that and the places we stumble upon. I think the not knowing what to expect makes the meal even better. :goodvibes

Thank you again for sharing your trip with us. :flower3:
I just wish Denny hadn't had the experience he did, or maybe it was a good thing since y'all knew his family history and you knew it was coming sooner or later. I just praise God he had you and that you knew exactly how to direct him and the DOCTOR  to make sure the right outcome happened. And thank God it did. ::yes:: :thumbsup2

By the way....I think all the iron art with the bottles would be a perfect gift for a wine drinker! When you're done, you just get up and hang your bottle.

Can't wait to read about WDW!! :dance3:

Just keeping up Mary Ellen after a very busy week!!!

Hey Rosie! Welcome back from your latest adventure! :drive: You certainly are always on the go!

Yard art! I actually could see those being cool in the right setting. In fact it gave me an idea..

Really? Now I'm curious! Wickett's mom (Doris) said they were actually used to capture spirits so the spirits or ghosts would not enter the dwelling. Mark simply said they are use doe target practice. :lmao:

Ok, I am VERY curious to here how the clot theory of Denny's plays into the WDW trip...

Ahh - I will talk about WDW in the next update. So excited to get on with that portion of this TR because we really did have an awesome time. :thumbsup2

I rather liked some of your orb pictures!

Thanks! I was shocked when I saw that green light in so many of my pictures. I never noticed them when I reviewed my pictures still in the camera. I know that town has to be haunted. I kept waiting for some supernatural signs during both of my visits to Savannah, but instead I found the spirits in Beaufort!

I love reading your TR's, Mary Ellen. With all your pictures I feel like I was right there with you.

Thanks Camille! I'm so glad you enjoyed this TR and my pictures. I just love discovering new places or attractions and sharing them with everyone. :thumbsup2

Loved seeing all the orbs in your pictures. People say they are fractions of light or dust, but I know better. Although I'm more inclined to believe they are angels rather than the other supernatural. :littleangel:

Angels! That's a great theory. They certainly could be. I am so intrigued by the possibility that spirits roam among us in a good way. I really believe the afterlife in glorious. I know there are disgruntled spirits out there, but I know the vast majority of souls are in an amazing place!

The pictures you took before getting on the road were beyond beautiful. :) I especially like the iron work. :thumbsup2

Thank you! Charleston is full of amazing wrought iron work. It's also beautiful and unique! Love that town. I just hope I get the chance to do a proper visit to Charleston one of these days.

Sorry your sandwich wasn't very good, I hate it when our expectations aren't met, especially for those of us who try to really watch what we put into our bodies. If it's terrible we've wasted all those precious calories for a lousy meal. :worried:

I know what you mean. I'm not a big fan of wasting calories. I did have some wonderful meals during my two trips to the low country, so eating something I would find here locally was a bit of a let down. But we are enjoying trying the various sauces. I also think I just picked a bad menu item.

It's usually the places the locals go to and rave about (that aren't meant for the tourists) that seem to work out best, that and the places we stumble upon. I think the not knowing what to expect makes the meal even better. :goodvibes

I totally agree. Usually I use trip advisor to help me decide where to go. I hadn't really done my research on Charleston and with our time so limited, we just went for it. Next time I am in that town I will plan my dining better!

Thanks so much for following along!

I am very glad that everything with Denny turned out the way it did. I still shudder to think about what could have happened had he left. I know I would have been really hesitant to take him back there.

By the way....I think all the iron art with the bottles would be a perfect gift for a wine drinker! When you're done, you just get up and hang your bottle.

:rotfl2: That makes me laugh because Denny went through a phase where he made his own wine. I hated it. It looked like a science project on my dining room table. He would keep every wine bottle he could find. I can totally see him storing bottles like that. *shudder* :rotfl2:

Can't wait to read about WDW!! :dance3:

And I can't wait to write about it. It was such an awesome trip. I can't wait to share!

OMG - My DH did that, too. We lived in an apartment at the time and the fermenting wine in the corner of the dining room smelled disgusting. Luckily, that phase didn't last long.

Mary Ellen - Still enjoying your report :thumbsup2 Yes, Orb, I agree.

Hope you are well. Was thinking about you. We take Connor to Lehigh on Thursday. Was thinking you may be taking Nick to UD next weekend?

Taking a breather at work. Have ordered meds for 3 of the 4 and labelled . Answered many phome calls, what's with everyone it's sunday give me a break:rotfl2: Made Shepherd's pie and cleaned out the fridge from prolly 1 weeks woth of lefvtovers , now I can actually put stuff in it :rotfl2::rotfl2:
Sad to see The End but looking forward to the next!!!

I have loved reading this so far. The bottle trees are a South Carolina tradition, I think Karen White has written them into several of her books! The exact explanation escapes me at the moment! Can't wait to read the WDW part!

I don't know whether to :rotfl2: or :faint:. All I can say is I couldn't stand looking at the stuff. It was driving me CRAZY. We have a friend in Daytona Beach who makes awesome wine, but this really wasn't. He also used the plums from the plum trees in our back yard. Talk about a double whammy. Plums cooking on the stove and wine fermenting in the dining room. :sad2:

Mary Ellen - Still enjoying your report :thumbsup2 Yes, Orb, I agree.

Hey Rebecca! :wave2: Glad you agree about the orb. I have no other explanation for that consistent green light.

Hope you are well. Was thinking about you. We take Connor to Lehigh on Thursday. Was thinking you may be taking Nick to UD next weekend?

Too funny because I was thinking about you today. We were visiting Denny's mom in Bethlehem and, of course, we went right by Lehigh. Then Nick started talking about how much he liked the campus. All I could say was, "I sent you SATS there and you said you didn't want to go there. Told you so". :rotfl: Nick actually moves in Saturday. Brian just headed back to Salisbury today because he is moving into a house. He ordered a new bed and had it delivered to Delmar, DE to avoid the Md state tax. I can't wait to go down there in a few weeks and see what the place looks like...then again....maybe not! :scared:

Hope you had a great summer.

Sounds like a busy Sunday at work Rosie! Glad you got a little breather! :thumbsup2

I have a new WDW update almost done and I will be posting it soon!

:welcome: JacquiBee! Thanks for joining in. Glad to have you reading along. Wicketts mom said they have something to do with keeping spirits out of the house. I guess the idea the spirits get trapped in the bottles. I guess that plausible. Better in a bottle then in the house! :rotfl:

ICan't wait to read the WDW part!

Great, because I have the first WDW installment almost done. I just have to add the pictures. :)

Mega Update is right. :faint:

Charleston is a beautiful city and I am glad you got to spend the morning there.

Sorry about lunch and sorry the bakery was not open yet. You need a do over on HHI.

Seeing Pedro on the way home....:rotfl2: Had to make that stop didn't you????

WDW coming right up and I can't wait to hear all about it. :thumbsup2

I can't remember if I posted this previously, so I will say now that I am so sorry for your loss.

I really enjoyed reading about your time at HHI and everywhere that you visited. I love all of the pictures of the architecture and little details that you took. The sunset photos from the last update are beautiful (orb or not lol).

Nice wrap up to the HHI portion of your trip! :thumbsup2 So many great pictures! :goodvibes

Random thoughts:

Interesting that your "orb" only showed up in pictures taken towards the sun........ :rolleyes1

More very interesting cemetery pictures! So many of them in this part of the country, and a lot of them have historical significance...........or "ghostly" at least. ;)

Sorry you were thwarted in your attempts for dining. Sticky Fingers has never disappointed me, but I definitely lean towards something of the pork variety there, so hopefully it was just your menu choice this time. :scratchin

Charleston has so many beautiful churches and wonderful architecture! :cool1:

With the predominance of a specific pose for animal pictures on the DIS, I thought it was hilarious your choice of showing the picture for the Pet Toilets, followed immediately by the words........"The end" :rotfl2:

Can't wait for the start of the WDW portion of this TR........... :yay:

Mega Update is right. :faint:

I really wanted to get the HHI TR done. Do you think I rushed? I am excited to start the WDW TR. Hoping to do that tonight!

Charleston is a beautiful city and I am glad you got to spend the morning there.

A little bit of Charleston is better than nothing, that's for sure. I really need to get back there for a much longer stay.

Sorry about lunch and sorry the bakery was not open yet. You need a do over on HHI.

I definitely want to go back to HHI with Denny. But this time I am staying an entire week. Saturday to Sunday! :thumbsup2

Seeing Pedro on the way home....:rotfl2: Had to make that stop didn't you????

How could we pass up an opportunity to see Pedro? Hey - I did it for this trip report - research purposes and all!

WDW coming right up and I can't wait to hear all about it. :thumbsup2

And I can't wait to tell you all about it. It was a great trip. SO. MUCH. FUN. :thumbsup2

I can't remember if I posted this previously, so I will say now that I am so sorry for your loss.

Thanks Krysten! I really appreciate your condolences. It's very thoughtful of you.

Thanks. I'm so glad you enjoyed all the pictures. Do I detect a hint of disbelief about my orb pictures? :rotfl: Say it isn't so! :rotfl2:

Thank you! So glad you enjoyed the pictures!

Random thoughts:

Do I detect some skepticism? :lmao: I was skeptical at first, but then I noticed that one green spot seems to move without relationship to the sun. It's too weird that its in so many of those pictures. I've taken a boatload of sunset pictures and i've never had that happen before. I still say it's an orb and I'm sticking to it! :rotfl2:

More very interesting cemetery pictures! So many of them in this part of the country, and a lot of them have historical significance...........or "ghostly" at least. ;)

The south really does have a lot of cool old cemeteries. I don't think they are half as cool up here and I have no idea why not. It's got to be the trees. :confused3

Sorry you were thwarted in your attempts for dining. Sticky Fingers has never disappointed me, but I definitely lean towards something of the pork variety there, so hopefully it was just your menu choice this time. :scratchin

I think that was my mistake. Next time I will choose more carefully. Glad to hear that it is actually a good place.

Charleston has so many beautiful churches and wonderful architecture! :cool1:

You can say that again. I was so impressed with that city from the first time I saw it almost two years ago. Just beautiful with so much architectural eye candy.

With the predominance of a specific pose for animal pictures on the DIS, I thought it was hilarious your choice of showing the picture for the Pet Toilets, followed immediately by the words........"The end" :rotfl2:

 What can I say? :rotfl2:

Coming up Next! :cheer2:

WDW Here We Come……Or Not!

When we got home from HHI things were a whirlwind. It was mid April and a lot was going on.

First order of business was to get Denny in to see the cardiologist. The appointment had been made. I was anxious to have the results of his Cardiac Cath/stent reviewed. I had the disc of the study. Both the surgeon I work with and Denny's cardiologist reviewed it and felt he got a good result.

Denny, however, kept complaining that he felt "twinges" in his chest. So his cardiologist sent him for a stress test, which he passed without problems.

Still, Denny seemed very timid. He was unwilling to start exercising and wouldn't go on a bike ride without me.

He kept bringing up the ride to HHI and seemed more convinced than ever that the car ride was what caused his coronary artery to block at 99%.

Ok, sure, whatever. I was tired of explaining the illogical aspects of this to him.

The car ride discussion would always segway into the WDW plans. You may remember that we had originally planned to drive. In fact, we were supposed to take two of my nephews with us. Denny, the man who always says "let's drive" every time we plan a Florida trip, was now indicating he didn't want to drive. He wouldn't come right out and say it, but the verbal and non-verbal indicators were there.

So, I finally said, "You know what. You're right. Driving IS bad for your health. Let's fly".

Muhahaha! That was easy. A little piece of me was disappointed that we wouldn't be doing a road trip because one of the stops I wanted to make was in Saint Augustine, Florida. But i knew I would survive.

Unfortunately, there was another issue that we had to deal with. Actually a couple.

The first issue was that I had not been offered my current job and I was starting to get a little nervous. No, actually a lot nervous. I decided I had to intensify my job search in the event that I wasn't offered this job. It was stressing me out. I am here to tell you that applying for a job nowadays is a lot more time consuming than it was 12 years ago. It took me 4 hours to fill out one application for the VA Hospital. Not kidding!

Then, without going into specifics, it became clear that my brother was not going to be able to travel in June. He had a 4BR condo rented in Kissimmee. He invited us to be his guests, because we had taken his family to the treehouse villas last June. One of the reason we originally agreed to the June trip was because our lodging costs were zero. Now he was canceling. Go figure!

The decision to fly became even easier. At least we wouldn't be responsible for transporting two of his boys. But we hadn't factored in lodging costs for this trip.

We had a discussion about whether we should even go. We had PAP vouchers that didn't have to be activated until our October trip, so there wasn't a rush to go.

Fortunately, at the end of April I was offered my new job. With that out of the way, and knowing I would start work July 1st, I told Denny that I definitely wanted to take a vacation because otherwise I would have NO summer vacation.

He agreed.

So the planning started.

At first I started looking at other Florida destinations. It seemed like a good opportunity to visit some of the Florida beaches. But every place I wanted to stay gave us lodging costs that we hadn't originally planned on. Darn Disney resorts. They set the bar high and its hard to find other accommodations that compare without opening the wallet - wide.

So my plans always ended up with us circling back to a WDW.

I considered borrowing points from our DVC account, but honestly, we were already in the hole for 2013, so that wouldn't work.

Once we decided on a WDW vacation, the quest for cheap lodging began. I kept remembering the night we spent in that Radison hotel room on I drive last year. I knew I would be down right depressed if I needed to stay in a place like that to keep the costs low. We decided that since it was just a 7 night vacation we would stay 5 nights in Orlando and 2 nights in Daytona Beach.

So I looked at hotels near DTD. There were some options, but I wasn't convinced. I spent too many hours on Trip Advisor before I decided to look at the Kissimmee list. That's when the Polynesia Isles Resort popped up. The reviews were good and it was a timeshare property which meant extra room. With a little more research I also learned that it was a Diamond Resort property. I stayed at one of their resorts in Williamsburg and I was happy with that stay. Hmmm - maybe this would work. What sealed the deal was when I checked for a quote on priceline - $432 for 5 nights with tax for a 1 BR. That sounded almost too good to be true.

But I booked it anyway because there was free cancellation.

I continued to search for alternatives, but I couldn't find anything else I liked at THAT price.

Finally i put my lodging obsession to rest and said "It is was it is".

Other things took priority.

Like Nick's college decision, graduation, and party planning

And my new job preparations.

And Max's diabetes.

And booking flights.

Somehow everything seemed to fall into place over the next 6 weeks.

Except for Max.

With less than two weeks until Disney day Max started to act "off". I took him to the vet and he was running a fever and his blood sugar was over 400. The vet gave him fluids, a shot of an antibiotic, and increased his insulin. She told me to call back if he wasn't feeling better.

But he did start feeling better. That is until the night of Nick's graduation. Nick's high school graduation was just a mere 3 nights before Disney Day.

Nick called me at work to tell me that Max was having a lot of pain in his leg and he thought he needed to go back to the vet. I made an appointment because I had noticed that day before that he cried a bit when I picked him up.

I left work early. When I got home I saw Max laying on the carpet with what looked like a frog leg coming out of his back side. That's the best description I can give you because that's what it looked like.

What the …?

I tried to pick him up and he ran away. When I finally got to him it looked like something from his back side just ruptured and brown liquid was coming out.

I literally thought he ruptured the lower end of his intestine. I almost fainted. Not kidding.

Somehow I managed to get him into his cage. I asked Nick to go with me and I just bypassed my regular vet and took him right to the emergency vet. I wanted an accurate diagnosis and I was prepared to put him to sleep. I knew if he had a major intestinal injury he would not survive with poorly controlled diabetes.

Initially the vet told me he ruptured and anal gland (He already ruptured one a couple years ago). They were going to shave him and take a closer look. Then the vet came back to tell me that it was actually a bite on his backside that ruptured open. They debrided it and left it open. A big open sore on his butt.

And then he came home with the cone of shame , antibiotics, and pain meds. Oy yeah - and I had to send a copy of his rabies vaccine to the state of Delaware since he had an animal bite.

Poor Max. But at least he wasn't dead.

No wonder he was running a fever just a week before. I guess the long acting antibiotic sort of calmed things down for a bit until this bite finally ruptured open.

Yuck.

Fortunately Max was already signed up to be boarded at the vets while we were away which gave me some piece of mind

Which brings me to flights -

I almost booked an 8am SWA flight on June 8th, but I hesitated a bit too long and the price jumped. So the next non-stop flight out of Philly with a decent price wasn't until 3:15pm. That turned out to be OK because it kept Max at home with me one more night. I felt bad about leaving him, but he actually bounced back fairly quickly.

I wasn't thrilled about the 3:15 departure time and I even considered flying into Tampa on a flight that left at 11am. According to my calculations it might get me to the world an hour sooner. Denny wasn't keen on the idea, but I thought the drive might be fun. A little bit of an adventure.

As it turns out, the 2:15 pm flight price dropped and I rebooked that.

So three nights before Disney we attended Nick's graduation. I was pretty wiped out after the fiasco with Max. But I was happy to watch my youngest get his diploma.

Since this update has been picture less so far, here are a few grad pictures…

That blue collar is for National Honor Society

Here's a picture of Nick's GF going to get her diploma

Of course, the cutest picture of the night award goes to Nick's GF's niece. How cute IS she? Major cuteness!

The trio

Nick's school had a graduating glass of just over 90, hence they were able to get everyone's names on the cakes.

The tired parents

Nick's GF, their physics teacher, Nick's long time friend since pre school, and Nick.

So are you ready to hear all about our fabulous Disney trip now that I've bored you with the background?

Saturday June 8th

Up at the brink of dawn because who can actually sleep in on D- Day? Sure as heck not ME!

I got Max dropped off as soon as the vet opened and then came home to finish last minute preps.

A little before noon we left for the airport.

Not sure why, but I look far too serious and not very excited in this picture.

We tried a new parking lot this time. Colonial Parking. We had a great driver and didn't have to lift a finger. He grabbed all our luggage and had it on the shuttle in the blink of an eye.

We always do curbside check in at Philadelphia. So much easier.

I know I just flew out of Philly last October, but the whole terminal seemed at lot cheerier and nicer than the last time I was there.

Check out this cute mural on the wall.

Just in case I couldn't remember where I was flying from

We stopped for lunch. I wanted pizza, but Denny wanted to Chinese, so I decided to go with Chinese so we wouldn't be waiting in two different lines.

My first meal of the trip.

It was pretty yummy and very filling.

We sat in an eating area near our gate.

I enjoyed the whimsical ceiling

Continued In Next Post.....

Continued From Previous Post...

I took some horrid pictures while waiting at the gate

Hey, I gotta post something!

I think that's a ship out in the Delaware River

Let's get the luggage loaded folks. We've got places to go!

We flew Air Tran, which as most of you know is part of SWA.

The curbside check-in guys told us that there were people still booking through the air tran website and paying for luggage. Yikes!

I took this from the plane

Up in the air

Let's turn this bad boy around and start heading south!

We were seated with a mom whose husband and two boys were sitting in front of us. First trip to Florida. She said they were staying in Daytona but heading to Disney for a day and to Universal for a day. My only advice - get there early!

We had a boat load of crying babies on our flight. And they cried for the better part of the flight. They were in the front of the plane and the back of the plane. There was no escape.

I read, I played games on my phone, I dozed, and I noticed that when it was time for our initial descent we didn't seem to be descending and we were still out over the ocean.

Hmmmmm……

Up Next: Is our landing as uneventful as our take-off? Can we find our secret off site location? Will we get to Epcot before park closure? And more importantly, can we pick out a car with a gas cap we can open?

Oh yeah - and can we have just as much fun staying off site as we have staying on site?

Stick around for the answers to these questions and much more. :thumbsup2

Hooray for being on you way! Hehe I knew how you were going to use Denny's incorrect information to create an advantage. Whatever works!
Man you guys had a lot going on at one time. Glad things smoothed out. Poor Max!
