I thought YC Concierge was being rehabbed the first two weeks in July...

To begin, I had YC LV concierge booked for July 2 - 5 and then heard a rumor that YC concierge was going to be renovated during July back in March. I then called the YC GM's office and was indeed told that it was going to be renovated, so since I didn't have any desire to stay at BC, I switched my ressie to water view. Well, all along, I've been checking to the disney website to see if ANYTHING would become available, and guess what!!! Today they are showing ONLY concierge rooms available at YC. Isn't this weird??? I really want to stay at YC concierge, but I'm afraid to change my ressie. I don't want to be in a make shift lounge and pay all that extra money. Also, since there aren't any LV rooms left, I don't want to chance changing my ressie. Is there anyone out there who can give me any advice. HELP!!!!!!!

i would like to know rehab dates for YC too. Going 11-8 to 11-13 and after last year same time with BWI renovations.....I am not going thru that again.....might be time for the GF again.

This weeks AllEars newsletter says that YC and BC will begin "extensive rehab" beginning with YC Concierge. However, no dates are given. How about calling YC directly and explain you concerns. I would simply state that it is not a problem if they are doing the rehab, but you would rather know ahead of time to make your plans. I can't believe they wouldn't give you whatever info they have at the time. The GM of the resort should be able to give you some dates. Have fun!

I would definetly find out. Last yr. when I was at the YC the boardwalk was sharing that concierge cause their's was being rehabed, I wouldn't want to think I was apying over $300.00 and having to walk over to another resort for the concierge service.

I agree with other posters - I don't want to spend all this extra money, and then have to go somewhere else for the Concierge lounge, or be listening to construction!!!

We have a two night ressie at YC Concierge LV July 14-16. When I started reading about the renovation; I contacted the YC Guest relations folks. In late May, CM David assured me that our reservation is good and that the concierge renovation will be complete by our checkin date; in fact, we will probaly be the first to have our room as the concierge level is due to reopen on July 14. And all facilities will be avaialbe and we won't be disappointed. He must have sensed my skepticism thought, as he offered to call my at the end of June to give me an update/further reassurance that all will be as we expect.
I feel like we are kind of stuck and will have to believe that all will be well.
David went on to say that the renovation/construction will have moved to the 3rd floor by the time we arrive.
