I THOUGHT We Had A Laptop From Staples

DH got online at 6 am and ordered the laptop. We got an email with order confirmation. Then yesterday afternoon he got another email that said it was unavailable I'm so bummed. I really don't want to spend a lot on a laptop. I would have looked for a better deal yesterday had I known we didn't get that one.

That stinks!! Unfortunately it happens a LOT...and they (the reporters on the news listening to the "experts") said it was going to happen a lot more this year. I've had it happen to me, so I feel your pain!!

I think that is so wrong. If a store takes your order and then confirms it you should get the item ordered or they should offer a replacement! JMHO

This happened to me twice yesterday! It stinks since I told my sil I didn't need the HP laptop she got from Wal-Mart and I cancelled a laptop I ordered from Best Buy. Yesterday I had 4 shipping to me and today I have 0!

that happened to me last year with Radio Shack. but they waited a week to inform me that it wasn't in stock, AFTER sending me an email that said it had been shipped. i was ticked. no more ordering online for me for those "super" deals...

The same thing happened to me with a GPS from Staples on BF 2 years ago. I got the confirmation email, then the cancellation email, but then a few days later it arrived in the mail anyway. See if you were charged on your CC it may come anyway. If not call their customer service number to see if they can help.

Good idea. Maybe they will offer an alternative if the one you ordered is sold out.

This thread has made me worry about the Touch I ordered even though the money has already been deducted from my account.
